Women flaut their cleavage in many places, but is it ok to do it at work? Aren't they suppose to be selling the business not themselves?

Well it depends how much... and where they are working.. At a bar its quite normal to show some skin.. In a more office-like setting i think it should be more conservative. At least it should be. There will always be women who show too much because hey.. sex sells! it doesnt matter what your selling if the guy cant stop staring right?! lol

Most companies have a dress-code policy. Even if companies do not, if women want to be taken seriously for the work that are performing and treated professionally, it is best that they wear conservative business apparel in the workplace. How they choose to dress at a nightclub is a completely different story.

Why? whats the purpose of showing cleavage? It is definitely out of place and indescent, I get no pleasure seeing men or women body parts that excite and arouse the opposite sex, they are to satisfy ones husband or wife and not to It`be flaunted, and displayed in public places. it is cheap and can cause some unnecessary problems in the wok place.

It really depends on their company policy & on the type of job they do. Most businesses don't allow it. It's distracting where men & women work together. Plus, it's a little annoying when you know your hubby is exposed to cleavage, belly buttons, & thighs all day. No matter how faithful he might be, he can't help but look. Heck, I can't help but check them out myself. Women have gorgeous bodies. I love to show mine off too, but not at work. I work in the health field, and as in most places it's not appropriate or permitted.
Now, some women have jobs where they get to show a little cleavage & show their sexy side....such as bikini models, lifeguards, Hooter empolyees, private/personal secretaries, bartenders, waitresses, showgirls, dancers, etc.

no matter what you are also selling yourself, if it is a business and she needs to convince the customer that her service or product is better then she should be well dressed, groomed...cleavage or no cleavage, whatever gets it done. How often do you buy stock from a redneck with a stained shirt with the number 3 on it?

I say it's alright as long as the outfit is within the general dress code of the company.

On a side note: Isn't it hilarious when men & women say cleavage is distracting, but no one says the guy with the serious combover, hair plugs, dental issues, crossed eyes, etc. is distracting? One can't help that God gave them big boobs, but one can seriously utilize a hair sylist and their dental benefits.

I don't believe that it is acceptable. I know that a lot of women do and think its OK, but really I think its kinda off. Keep your puppies well hidden if you want to be taken seriously & not be the brunt of idle gossip. I think that it is just too much of a distraction, and does not help your chances of being taken seriously.

I say no. My teenage daughter knows if her top is cut lower then a palm width down her neck she better have a tank or tee underneath. think cleavage at work or school is tacky
