Women are like snowflakes... what might turn one of us on, might repulse another. What might bring one of us to tears, might bring another sheer joy. What one of us might see as demeaning and chauvinistic, another might see as taking care of our man.
I happen to be in the category of women who believes that my place is in the kitchen, taking care of the house, taking care of the children. It puts a smile on my face everyday to be able to wake up with my husband before dawn, get together his breakfast and lunch and see him off to work. It warms my heart when he walks in after work, and kisses me hello as he hands me his travel mug and lunch bag. It makes me feel like I'm taking care of him.. it makes me feel like I'm doing what I was meant to do.
I understand that there are women who will think that I'm living in the past, or that I am in a bad situation by being a stay at home wife and mother. I don't believe that for a second. I think I've got it a heck of a lot better than a lot of women out there! The other thing I understand, though, is that people are different. One woman's life might be perfectly fine for her, but would drive me nuts. I think the same could be said in the other direction, as well. Some women can't stand the though of the only person they speak to all day being someone who doesn't quite have a grasp on the language just yet (our daughter is 8 1/2 months old). For me? It's heavenly!
What would I say to my husband if he told me to go into the kitchen and fix him a sandwich? I'd ask him what he'd like on it and what he'd like to drink with it... and I'd say it with a bright smile and a full heart!

No. The "Go fix me a sandwich" thing just sounds like you're bossing around a small child. They feel like they are hooked up with their father, not needed at all.
SOME women are highly offended while others, like myself are not.
I think that sort of thing doesn't really warrant my getting upset over it.
Women DO feel needed if you ask them to do something in a polite way, such as,,,,,"Honey, would you mind fixing me a sandwich?"....That would get a reaction of...Aw, poor baby, isn't he cute.
It's all about approach.
The End.

Depends, do you like it for women to say, "Get a better job". Or buy me diamonds, perfumes, etc.
How about for her to tell you, "Put the toilet seat down."
Flirting, with her yes, but going around with a caveman mentallity, No.

That order is chauvanist, like Archie ordering Edith to get him a beer. Real men respect their wives and don't treat them like servile help.

well, are you into s and m???? If you make a comment like " get into the kitchen make me food!", you will be wondering where that semi came from and how did it get into the house without your hearing it??? my hubby of 10 years doesn't say that jokingly. he knows it makes me mad.

that ? isn't really sexist just bossy. although there r times when a man saying something sexist such as " i man u woman" that we find it offensive. there r other times when it can come out as being sexy and confident. if a man is confident he usually says things without it really meaning to come out sexist.

Yes. They just cream their shorts when you tell them to get their tail in the kitchen and bake a goddamn pie.
Want to see them do a multiple? Tell her that her place is in the home, barefoot, prregnant, and on her knees pleasuring you.
So, to sum up: You're an idiot. :)
