Im a 15 year old highschooler, and ive been trying to reach out to some of my non-beliveing friends about God and Jesus. Where do i start?!?!? I start to talk about Jesus, and say how he saved us from our sins. However, i clearly understand why my friends are having a hard time taking that in. I mean, how do i presuade someone, that God actually split an entire sea once, and Jesus healed with and instant touch?? Its like asking them to believe what it seems like impossible to them. What should i tell my friends, so they can be saved too??

Look inside yourself, and ask yourself why you feel this compulsion to convince them.

why do you want to convince them? do you truly feel that they are doomed to some horrible torment if they do not belive as you do? do you really feel comfortable supporting a religion and belieif system, and most importantly, a god that would have such a system?

as someone who does not belive in jesus, but who has given many people the chance to "show him the way" and not a one has even come close to convincing me, I do not think its reasonable for you to expect to be able to convince others until you understand it, and yourself, more thoroughly. I have no issue with others beliving what they do, if their religious beleifs help them, all the better. I belive that some people are "supposed" to belive in christianity, or judaism, or wicca, or whatever else, and most of the time, it is of very little harm for them to do so, and not all harm is bad. (that is, sometimes the best way to teach not to touch the stove, is to "accidentally" let them touch it once, so they learn for themself)

if you truly have faith in your beleifs, you don't need to rag on them constantly, but simply offer what you belive, and give them the means to find their own truth.

personally I've helped more people find their truth, simply by discussing my own beleifs, with no intention or thought of trying to convince them of anything, than I've seen others when trying very heavily to convince people.

I know how you feel kid. Tell him, if God is not real how come the most powerful and important thing in the world like money have "In God we trust?" printed on it?. And i bet you he's gonna have a change of heart. And after that you can tell him more things like, If God is not real why do more than 80% of all humankind beleive in him when they have a choice between buddism, jewish, catholic, etc. And yea i dont know man bbut God is real and you are one smart little kid. When all you trun 25 your gonna be so happy and successful and your friends are gonna be living with their parents. Dont worry too much pray to God for the ability to preach to your friends and the words to touch their hearts like God did with yours and always have faith. Remember we have to be strong because sometimes we are gonna face these rough times.. Go bless

Talk from your own life and let them make a choice with out presure from you.

Sharing your relgion is always better than preaching some dogma.

You have to let God work it out. You've planted the seed. Stand back and be awed how God works. And pray for them.

If you are a model to your friends, they will want to be like you. They may ask you why you are happy. Don't preach, invite. You would be surprised how many teens want to go to a place with worthwhile activities.
