According to the Qu'ran it says 'Jesus is like Adam in the sight of God'. In this surah it shows that Jesus and Adam is alike but how? Well the Qu'ran also says that we are to read the books of Moses and the books of David and the Gospels for they are truth, and yes there are some bible translations out there that have taken out scriptures and added some in, but if you payattention to what you read and study you will see which are good and which are tainted. But anyway in the translations that agree with older translations before the King James, teaches that Jesus was born of the womb of Mary made possible through Holy Spirit, no intercourse of a man was needed, so Jesus was not a decended of Adam through blood, and he did not have a earthly father and Adam did not have an earthly father also, so who was their Father? It was God! Also the angels in heaven are considered to be sons of God, so why can't Jesus , who was from heaven, be called God's Son?

Muslims believe that Jesus, like Adam, Moses, Joseph,..., is a prophet of God. And the reason why they don't think that Jesus is the son of God, is at the very essence of the Muslim faith. Muslims believe that God is eternal and absolute. God is one and only. There's nothing like Him. God begets not, nor is he begotten.
So you can see why they don't believe that Jesus is the son of God.

i'm no longer Muslim, yet i wish you will examine my answer besides. With all appreciate, i ask your self why that's substantial you, to boot as to those that declare to be Christians, that anybody have self belief the comparable element you or they have self belief. in simple terms because of the fact the Christians can substantiate the existence of Jesus, Muslims can substantiate the existence of The Prophet Muhammad. the two curiously worship the prophet and take his words as a foundation for their ideals. If i'm incorrect in this regard, please enable me understand. the version seems to be that Christians have self belief Jesus grew to become into the messiah, or the 2nd coming of God/Allah and maximum different religions interior the worldwide do no longer. it would be very exciting if the non secular pupils ought to come which incorporate the Koran and the Christian bible and discover the similarities. perhaps then they could stumble on how lots they have in trouble-free as antagonistic to the ameliorations the two obstinately carry against one yet another.

Why cannot any of us be considered the sons and daughters of the God? Does not the Lord's Prayer begin, "Our Father..."

Metaphorically, we are the children of the God if we work towards righteousness.

The mythology of the God having a bloodson was an old story before the birth of Jesus. Hercules was the God's son.

I actually do not know if Jesus had a Human father, it is relatively unimportant to me. It is important that he lived as he taught.

Just because there is no father is not to mean that God is his Father. What Quran says is just like Adam is not considered son of God, Jesus also is not. Christians say Jesus is the only begotten son of God, why they do not consider Adam as son of God ?

I agree with the first answer. The trinity looks like polytheism to Muslims, even though it seems like monotheism to Christians. Even the Hindu pantheon of gods could be interpreted as just one god, having many aspects. It's all in how you see it.

both Adam and Jesus-pbut were created without a father. and let me tell u sir that all of us have the spirit of God in us and it has been proved by scientists. and we love Jesus-pbuh as much as we love all our prophets and take him to be a role model. just that making Jesus-pbuh a God is not beleiving in God who created Jesus-pbuh. also Qu'ran confirms the Divine Birth of Jesus-pbuh and Mary in Surah Maryam. also u can see Qu'ran stands as a testimony o all the miracles performed by Jesus-pbuh with the WILL OF GOD. but so were Moses, Noah, Abraham and every one of the 1,24,000 prophets of Islam were blessed with miracles. they were messengers that came to give the word of God.

Formerly, he was Professor of Ob-Gyn and the Chairman of the Department of Ob-Gyn at the University of Tennessee, Memphis, Tennessee, USA. He was also the President of the American Fertility Society. He has received many awards, including the Association of Professors of Obstetrics and Gynecology Public Recognition Award in 1992. Professor Simpson studied the following two sayings of the Prophet Muhammad :

{In every one of you, all components of your creation are collected together in your mother’s womb by forty days...}2

{If forty-two nights have passed over the embryo, God sends an angel to it, who shapes it and creates its hearing, vision, skin, flesh, and bones....}3

He studied these two sayings of the Prophet Muhammad extensively, noting that the first forty days constitute a clearly distinguishable stage of embryo-genesis. He was particularly impressed by the absolute precision and accuracy of those sayings of the Prophet Muhammad . Then, during one conference, he gave the following opinion:

“So that the two hadeeths (the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad ) that have been noted provide us with a specific time table for the main embryological development before forty days. Again, the point has been made, I think, repeatedly by other speakers this morning: these hadeeths could not have been obtained on the basis of the scientific knowledge that was available [at] the time of their writing . . . . It follows, I think, that not only there is no conflict between genetics and religion but, in fact, religion can guide science by adding revelation to some of the traditional scientific approaches, that there exist statements in the Quran shown centuries later to be valid, which support knowledge in the Quran having been derived from God.”

Why do you believe that jesus is the son of god?

If Jesus is the son of God, then the following quetions arise:

1. Why Adam & Eve are not sons & daughters of God when God created them without parents?
2. What about all living beings which God created without both father & mother for the first time?3. If Jesus was son of God, then why only 120 people accepted his prophethood at that time, rest of all spit on him, insulted him, terrorized him and eventually killed him (Christian belief) but God didn't save him?
4. If we take Jesus born without 'father' then how come God is his father? You may say it's in spiritual sense, not in literal sense. Then why take a fictional belief as a fact?.
5. As God is all powerful & compared to no one then how come he beget a son like humans? Ok, it is not meant literally, right? Then why take a figurative belief as a doctrine?
6. God doesn't need any food nor any shelter. But why Jesus felt hungry and sought rest & comfort?
7. No one can do any harm to God, but how come people murdered Jesus?
8. God has no beginning & no end, how come Jesus was born & eventually died?
9. Eventually Jesus's incapability of saving himself turned into love & forgiveness, and named "died for our sins"??

I know you'll say that in Bible it is stated Jesus is son of God. Why would I believe this? because Jesus said so. We believe:
1. Gospel was revealed to Eesa (Jesus).
2. There is no longer any book that remained as it was revealed by Allah, neither the Gospel nor anything else, apart from the Qur’aan.

Bible was surely a valid source of truth. But it was written by people long after Jesus disappeared, whose level of knowledge and honesty is unknown. The contradictions in these books and their shortcomings are among the strongest evidence that they have been distorted and that they are not the Gospel (Injeel) that Allaah revealed to Jesus (pbuh).

In American Encyclopedia:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can refer to the American Encyclopedia, 27/300-301

Will Durant says:

"When Christianity conquered Rome, the new religion (i.e., Christianity) was infused with the blood of the old idolatrous religion: the title of archbishop, worship for the great mother, and an innumerable number of lords who gave peace of mind and were like who exist in all places and cannot be detected with the senses. All of this came into Christianity as the blood of the mother comes into her child.

The civilized empire handed over power and administration to the papacy and the impact of the word replaced the impact of the sword. The preachers of the church started to assume positions of power.

Christianity did not put an end to idolatry, rather it reinforced it. The Greek mind came back to life in a new form, in the doctrines and rituals of the church. The Greek rituals appeared in the rituals of the monastic saints. From Egypt came the idea of the holy trinity, the day of reckoning, eternal reward and punishment, and man’s eternal life in one of the other. From Egypt also came the worship of the mother and child, the mystical union with God, the union which led to Platonism and agnosticism, and the erasing of Christian doctrine. And from Persia came the belief in the return of the Messiah and his ruling the earth for 1000 years."

Except through me?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You may also say Jesus said, “No one comes to the Father except through me”. We need, first of all, to be sure that these words can truly be attributed to Jesus. Secondly, this is clearly not true. How then could mankind have known God at the times of Nooh (Noah), Hood, Saalih, Yoonus (Jonah), Shu’ayb (Jethro), Ibraaheem (Abraham), Musa (Moses) and other Prophets?

I and Father are one?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Someone quoted above the Messiah as saying, “I and the Father are one”. This is clearly not correct. If we examine the matter objectively, without letting our own desires get in the way, it becomes clear that the conjunction “and” in the phrase “I and the Father” implies that two separate entities are involved. “I” is one entity, and “the Father” is another. If you say, “So-and-so and I”, it is obvious to any rational person that they are two separate people. The equation 1+1+1=1 makes no sense to any rational person, whether he is a mathematician or not. Moreover, the truine God formula jeopardizes the golden truth of divine religions - "Monotheism".

Jesus is more respected in Islam:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We disbelieve that Jesus ever died. We believe Jesus was taken upto the heavens by will of God, meaning that God saved him. According to the Qur’aan, he was not crucified, but only appeared so. So here we give more respect to Jesus, as God himself lifted him upwards and He will send him back again before end of the time. But in Christianity, it is believed that Jews murdered him.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Who is closer to the Truth:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you not see that the Muslims are closer than others to the truth, because they believe in all the Prophets and Messengers, respecting them all and recognizing that all of them taught the truth of Divine Unity (Tawheed) and that each of them was appointed by Allaah and sent to his people with laws that were appropriate to the time and place? When the fair-minded Christian sees the followers of Islam believing in Musa (Moses), ‘Eesaa (Jesus), and Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and in the original Torah and Gospel, as well as the Qur’aan, and sees his own people denying the Prophethood of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), calling him liar, possesed by satan and so many horribly insulting things, and rejecting the Qur’aan, wouldn’t his open-mindedness make him think that the Muslims are most likely to be right? Islam forbids making fun of any prophets. Don't know about what Christianity teaches as I see Jesus is made fun of in insulting ways, let alone prophet Muhammad (sm).
