i read that Born Blonde hair dye can dye your hair really blonde even if you have black or dark brown hair..is that true??! i really want mine blonde w/out frying it.

The only way to lighten hair is to damage it. They all work the same way. A very strong akaline solution to lift the scales of the hair to get at the core, and the peroxide to blow apart the colour molecules inside. If you have dark brown or black hair, then getting it blonde will fry it, no matter how you do it.
You're likely to burn your scalp with the solution before it has had a chance to lighten your hair enough to get to the pale yellow stage that you need for blonde.

It can only lift 9 shades... which means NO it cannot make dark brown or black hair, blond. You would have to have a two process coloration. First is bleaching and then comes toning. Not necessarily frying the hair IF it is done correctly by a licensed cosmetologist.

Unfortunately not, color can not lift color only a hair lightener or hair bleach will do this all of which contain peroxide and will stress your hair varying on how many levels lighter your planning on going. the darker you hair and the lighter your planning on going the more damaged your hair will be.

Go blonde. We have more fun, really. But dont dont dont do it yourself go to a professional. If you don't, you'll end up orange, not blonde.
