No, not really.

A refractive error is a function of the power of the eye's lens, the curvature of the cornea, and the length of the eye. That's the way it is. If there was a natural way of fixing the error we wouldn't need glasses, contacts, or LASIK surgery.

Contrary to popular belief, carrots do no help your vision per se. Carrots have retinol, which is converted to retinal, and is used in the photo sensing cells of the retina. Going without any retinol (which would only happen in the extremely malnourished), would harm vision, but in the normally nourished, extra retinol rich carrots don't help.

Some foods, including green, leafy vegetables, can promote retinal health by decreasing likelihood for macular degeneration.

Eye exercises can help very particular vision problems, such as accommodative dysfunction and eye-misalignment issues, but do nothing for reducing a prescription. These programs are scams and I'd save your money, unless you were diagnosed with one of these issues which could be helped by vision therapy.

The absolute ideal clarity of vision possible varies per person and is completely dependent upon your macula's density of cones. You can't histologically increase cone density by exercising muscles surrounding your eyes.

Couple things you can do...if you suffer from dry eyes, that can cause corneal stippling which can blur vision. Use artificial tears to help. Smoking can also disrupt corneal epithelium, so stopping that can also help vision.

Most people believe that once they are diagnosed with some vision problem and start wearing eye glasses or contact lenses to correct them, they will have to do so for life in order to see better. Those who want a permanent solution to improve eyesight typically resort to Lasik or other corrective eye surgeries. But you you can also improve your vision without surgery and can see perfectly well without using eyeglasses or contact lenses. You can check here to know how https://tr.im/33c02

First of all 20/15 is the best correction you can get, and most people can only get to 20/15 when wearing glasses. They don't use 20/24, they go in increments of 5's.

You can use those Magic Eye pictures to strengthen your eyes, but it isn't going to do a lot if you just have a minor RX. ie - if you are 20/25. There are places that offer Vision Therapy, but that is more for people who have problems with focusing issues, not really for people that just have bad eyes.

There are vitamins that you can take, they help mostly for people who are have vision diseases, like Macular degeneration.

Yes, beta carotene helps eyesight, but try eye exercises, too. Focus on something close to you, then on something far away (across the room). Repeat about 10 times each. Then focus on something left, then something right, repeat. Make sure to focus on each chosen item before looking the other way. These exercises will strengthen your vision.

I was shown some eye exercises once, the person said they were obnoxious and almost nobody ever stuck with them, but they do exist. You might want to check with an eye doc to get the exact form of exercise, but the idea as I remember it was holding your focus on an object as you moved it closer and then farther away from your eyes. It strengthens the muscles that control the lens, I think. Anyway, check it with a pro. Good luck!
