The average cockatiel lives between 12-15 years, but they can live longer. I have a friend that has a cockatiel that is 17 years old.

I have one right now 15 yrs old, I have a freind of mine who has one that is 24 yrs old already. Marc Marone on TV has one 20 yrs old.These birds have been recorded living up to 32 yrs. So if you get one plan on living with it A LOOOOOOOOONG TIME!

i think average is about 20 yrs but many have lived until 30 or so

my cockatiel is nearing 20 now. never been to a vet. loves to listen to music, you can tell his favorite songs and commercials because he whistles whenever they come on. he used to love the theme to general hospital and make noise everytime he heard it. then he liked johnny cash, its funny how they have their own little personalities.

I went to cut my cocateals nails and I flinched and cut a bit more that she is bleeding. How do I stop the bleeding? Will she be ok?
