Hello,

Wow, that's stronger beer than you would typically find. Most American beers are only 5% alcohol.

Hard liquors that say 80 proof on the label are 40% alcohol. It's always half. So Everclear, which is 200 proof is 100% pure grain alcohol. Bacardi 151 is another very strong one, coming in around 75% alcohol. (Those are not meant to be consumed straight)

Here is the general rule of thumb concerning alcohol content equivalency:

1 oz. of hard liquor (80 proof) = 4 oz. of wine = 12 oz. beer

Hope that info helps.

It's not really a math question.
The rate of consumption is the key.
If you have a 22 oz beverage, a glass of wine, a shot, they all wind up having the same effect if consumed in the same period of time.

no a shot is 1 ounce 80% of that would be .80 ounces compared to roughly 2 ounces of alchohol in a 22 oz beer however the shot will mess you up quicker because its a condensed form that hits your system quicker

About 2.2275 ounces of a 160 proof(80%) alcohol, so about 1.485 shots (1.5 oz).
