I have had 3 c-sections. I waited until all clear from my doctor and also made sure i wasn't in pain. Just take it easy, your comfort level is key. Do what feels best to you.
If your not ready then don't force it, it make you worse. But of course you and your doctor know.
Good Luck

The only thing sexual you should be thinking about is how good he still looks naked. If it is him that is rushing you give him head until you are ready for intercourse and if its you. You wait till the Dr give the go ahead. In the mean time remember that sex without protection especially now will give you a second c-section. Enjoy the one you have.

In my opinion - personal opinion as i also had a c-section... when your tummy muscles will allow you to and your incision is clean and clear. Seeing as how we all heal at different rates it really depends on your individual body. After a vaginal delivery the medical community prefers you to wait 6 weeks due to a high chance of infection. With a c-section it all depends on how quickly you heal. Not only your incision but also the muscles. Don't forget, you just went through a major surgery - one that cut through all layers of skin - then cut through a major organ - then they strethed that incision for all that babies worth - then they stretched the skin for all that babies worth - then sewed you up on the inside - then (i don't know about you but for me) they taped my shut on the outside. That is a major surgery. Once your body heals and you think your tummy muscles can handle it then - you go girl! Personally it was 8 weeks for me. I waited till i could walk properly that took about a week. It took another week for me to be able to go from a sitting position to a standing position and vice versa... i think it was 6 weeks later that coughing no longer hurt nad i felt "normal" - so i gave it another two weeks just to torment my husband as i wasn't even attempting until i KNEW i would enjoy it too! So do what is best for YOU.

I think you are supposed to still wait until your 6 week check-up, but my husband and I made it maybe 3 weeks.

Call your OB, that's something he/she should have told you before you left the hospital. I had a vaginal birth and a episiotomy and couldn't for 4 weeks until i was checked to make sure everything healed.
