Tough call buddy you already live in the best place on earth. I recently went to Bermagui (on the coast near NSW VIC border) There is some really beatiful country down there. Depends on what you are looking for though.

I love South Australia. Take some fly repellant....but it is a different world down there. Vineyards in Clare, and the Flinder Ranges near Port Augusta. Kangaroo Island.
Adelaide is o.kay.....but it is the "bush" that is amazing. When I say bush it really isn't that bushy.
But when we saw the edge of the desert, and the opal mines and wilpena pound. Man it was great.

Try a farm stay have a look at www.frasersselection.com.au.
We also live on the sunshine coast and go to Tin Can bay it's close to rainbow beach and fraser island. No matter where you go have fun and enjoy the time with your family
