There is no standard answer. It depends on the people, their maturity, and the situation. My boyfriend and I started dating the day we met. It just clicked.

Its different for all people. I find that it varies from race to class. Like blacks guys dont date so if you start talking to them you are automatically a couple. White guys are weighing their options, you might be dating them for years and still have no commitment. Asians are kind of like blacks in their dating style, no frills or thrills. Money cancels out all of this, people who have more money tend to date longer before committment and i suppose this is due to having more options.

It really depends on the people. Sometimes you may feel one way and she feels another, thats why it's good to discuss things with one another. I feel that we both should agree that we are a couple.
