Some people claim they relieve joint pain and arthritis...

I'm an expert on this actually. The bracelets with magnets etc are used by some to help with arthritis. I think the premise is that wearing these bracelets helps to ease the arthritis pain.

They have been studied and they do nothing.

They claim to help just about everything but primarily the people who were them swear they help arthritic pain.

Since pain is an individual perception modulated in the midbrain by emotion, placebo effect is very real. So if you think it works and you feel better, great. But they have no real effect on the human body.

People with joint discomfort wear them to alleviate symptoms.
Often the pain is from old injuries or arthritis.

not a darn thing. Supposedly they help with things like arthritis, anemia and depression. But clinical trials have shown no significant difference in people who wear them verses people who don't. Sorry to disappoint you.

MRI machines use this to alter cell direction when X-rayin....unknown effects completely at this time !
