Congrats on the new cat! Just take your time getting to know her--her personality, her quirks, everything. A name will come to you in time. (There's nothing worse than someone else naming your animals, in my experience!)

My mom has a Himalyan that we named CC for "Cute and Cuddly" . Usually these things just come about themselves. Himalyans by nature are very sweet and docile so try to think of something along those lines, like "sweetie" or "sweet thing" or fluffamatic since they are so fluffy....Although i don't see what is wrong with new girl!

I'd like you'd adopt the name DamnCat. That was the name the rascally husband of the dearest landlady I've ever had gave to HER cat. DamnCat was a stray that she welcomed into her elegant Southern mansion one morning and who made a beeline for Al's sitting room.

"GET THIS DAMNCAT OUT OF MY ROOM" Al immediately roared as the plumb (somebody's lost pet) jumped up on his writing/reading table and scattered his materials.

It took several weeks, but DamnCat finally was sleeping draped over Al's bald scalp while he took his afternoon nap on his daybed in that room, and the two became fast friends.

Al was once the president of the American Cancer Society, a national prominent man, who said "Kiss It!" to Chicago and found himself a Southern Belle even if she was 62 years old, moved into her home and commenced growling at everyone for the rest of his life.

It is still somewhat strange that Al and DamnCat died within a week of each other, Al first and then, after days of wandering through Mynelle's echoing home, DamnCat also passed on--in its sleep one afternoon on Al's old table.

True story.

I think the world is ready for another DamnCat, please.

Sounds like a cute cat! I would suggest Cleo-catra ... Cleo for short.

You could also call her Tea or Pumpernickel or Pumpers for short.

Good Luck!

I would name her something Bhutanese or Nepali since those countries are located in the Himalayas. Such as "Paro"- city in Bhutan, or something like in Dzongka (Bhutan language) like "Lhazom" (pronounced la/zom) "zom is pronounced like the first part of zombie. This means "meeting of all gods and goddesses"
or "Pem" which means lotus flower.
