A few ideas:

Nimbus and Cirrus (types of clouds)

Topaz and Gypsum (types of gemstones)

Ceres and Cybele (pron. Series and Sibyl...names of goddesses who could travel to the dark underworld, then return to bring the Spring)

Isis and Venus (goddesses of love)

Duchess and Countess

Suzie and Lizzie (after the two women who helped get women the right to vote, etc.)

Eve and Lillith (according to Hebrew lore, Lillith was the first wife of Adam, cast out from Eden because she refused to submit to him, wanted equality, etc.)

Gaia and Pangea (the Mother Earth goddess and the first continent on this planet, when all the land was joined together)

Phoenix and Gryffon (both magical creatures)

Belle and Fauna (together the names mean beautiful animals)

Delilah and Esmerelda (the Biblical woman and the character from the Hunchback of Notre Dame)

Cupid and Psyche (the great lovers of Greek myth)

Shadow and Twilight

Hazel and Hawthorn, or Rowan and Ash (kinds of trees)

Use your street's name as the basis for naming your dog.

For example, my street's name was Inchcliff, so we named our dog Cliff.

Also, if the dog has a unique feature, name the dog after that feature. It can be physical or personality-based.

Hillary and Condi.

Why not be funny and original. The chocolate names are stereotypes anyways.
