Yes without question. Why? Because a shy person seems distant and not to care. Hard to believe that if your shy but it is true.
I have been shy all my life and I can tell you it is truly a curse for any person. Every person, no matter who they are cannot read minds. If you don't ask a girl out....or if you do you can't talk to her...then someone else can and will.
Personality is much more important to a woman that looks. Learn how to develop that and you have no problems.

Yes. The early bird gets the worm, or in this case, the bold man gets the girl. Women are a lot of the time too shy to make the first move themselves, or don't think it is appropriate. They wait for a guy to show interest, and if you don't they aren't going to know and they are going to go with someone else. There are a lot more important things like intelligence, humor, similar likes, and such in dating other than physical attractivity.

Yes because outer beauty is what attracts the man, but you have to have more going on then good looks to keep him. They want you to be smart, have good conversation, and know that you outer looks are not all you are working with. Also a man tends to think that if you are good looking then you must be able to hold a conversation because you look like a person who would be approached all the time. Now if you are young in age then everything I said will come with time and maturity.

It happens all the time. The ugly dude got the girl first because he is taking a chance, and girls like that. If you're implying that ur the shy one, don't be shy. Take a risk and talk to somebody. U won't always end up in failure/embarassement.

You betcha. I am one ugly dude and I married the prettiest girl in our school (after we graduated college) . She was constantly being asked out by MUCH better looking guys than me and I have to admit I was frightened by them. But, I am in love with her and I treat her like a gentleman is suppose to. So, for the last 15 years ugly boy has defeated the pretty boy. Ugly guys ROCK. Maybe you should quit washing your face and gain a few pounds. Plus, women don't want to compete with men over who is the cutest. My wife never has to worry about winning that award. Why? Because I am UUUHHHGGGLLYYY. It may help that I have a large UUUHHH you KNOW.

Yeah, if he's got a better personality. You say you're shy and that's fine, but, did you miss out on something you really wanted because you didn't speak up? Besides, the only one who knows you're shy is you.

Yes because you are shy you most likely lack confidence in yourself and that puts people off.Attraction should also go on personality not just on looks.

I don't want to reach too much, but it could be more than you being shy. Shallow too perhaps? To answer you though: Yes, ofcourse it's possible for someone that you consider less attractive than you to be chosen over you by a girl.

Yep, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What we deem as ugly may be beautiful in other ways to someone else. Chalk it up as a learning experience honey and move on...this time...speak up!
