I'm in high school. Are school is a uniform school but now they got GYM UNIFORMS TOO. I think it's a waste of my money. But if you don't buy one you sit there in the bleachers for the whole gym pariod and it takes points away from your grade. I can't drop the class like I was planning on doing TODAY. They say it's a required course we must take. I don't get it I think they are going to far. Can any one help me decide what to do? Should I just waste $25.00 and suffer. Plus home coming is around the corner and I really want to go but If I buy a gym uniform I lose some of my money that I could spend preparing for home coming. Please Help!!!!!!!!!

I think you should get the uniform, or you can ask if you can use something similar. For example, your uniform is grey and black, you could probably get some nylon shorts and a cotton shirt, that resembles the school's gym uniform. Where I go you can use your own if you don't want to buy the uniform.

Hmm... you didn't say what year you are in, but it seems like if you're a freshman paying $25 for a uniform you will probably use for 4 years - who cares if it gets a bit faded or something by senior year, as long as it fits properly, what's the big deal, it's gym - it's not really that big of a monetary commitment.

You won't die if you have to spend a little bit less for homecoming.

Buy it. Suffer. That's how it is. ..It'll prepare you for college when you have to pay $125 for a book that you'll use only twice during the semester and then have to resell it at half the cost!

Sometimes high school gym teachers keep sets of uniforms for kids who forget to bring their uniform, take it home to wash it, etc. If I were you I'd ask if you could maybe work out a deal with your teacher where you borrow a uniform for a period of time.

Get the uniform. Even it your school board is moronic to be forcing students to spend that kind of money out of there own pockets.
