Since January my elbows have been extremely stiff and painful when I wake up in the morning, and it has progressivly gotten worse over the months. This also wakes me up every few hours at night after I have been asleep for a while. Also the bone of the elbows are are painful and tender to the touch. There is no swelling that I can notice, and the pain radiates down my forearms until about 4 inches from wrists.I've been to the doctor a few times for it and he is still trying to figure it out.I wonder if it could be the onset of some type of arthritis or other joint disorder.X-rays came back negative.I'm only 37,excellant health, except degenerative spine disease in the L4 - L5 lumbar, and a frequent numbing and tingly stiff feeling in the back of my neck.Does this sound familiar to anyone?Keep in mind, this has been going on for 9 months + and I dont golf or do any other repeticious activity with both arms. It's getting really aggravating as it is affecting any lifting that I do.No injury/exurs.

that sounds weird...you know what ...I would find an arthritis doctor...I mean it could be something weird like LYME Disease....usually when there's pain in the arms it could be a sign of a heart attack but of course it doesn't go on forever like that...and it definitely sounds like arthritis but just to be sure...it doesn't hurt to rule it out....I'm no MD but I use to draw blood and MDs would draw for a test called a SED RATE (good for an indicator of arthritis) and also a CRP...creatinine reactor protein or something like that...I'd ask to see if he/she did that...then again you could have a pinched nerve...they can do a nerve test...they put needles (almost like acupunture...doesn't hurt trust me I had it done) in your arm and neck and it is almost like sonar...it will bounce back any blockages...i forgot the name of that test..eeg or something like that but ask about that and see a specialist....could be tennis elbow even though you haven't really exerted yourself...doesn 't sound like carpel tunnel because that starts from your wrist and makes your hands numb...like i said I'm no MD but look around...good luck

You really need to see a doctor. You exercise quite a bit, so it may be something as simple as lateral epicondylitis. But given your age you might be developing Osteo Arthritis or Rheumatoid Arthritis. Also, as odd as it may sound, you might have a hairline stress fracture that you don't even know about. In any case, elbow pain is something that should never be ignored/treated yourself. This is because unlike other parts of the body... Elbow pain is usually the result of blood vessel and/or tendon injury or damage. Your doctor will probably refer you to a DPT or PT.

Have a nerve conduction test done. It sounds like nerve pain because it is radiating up and down. At night do you sleep with your arms up under your head? Try to keep your arms straight down when you sleep.

I bet it is Tendinitis or Carpal Tunnel. I have this and it only gets worse. They operated on my wrist, now it is in my elbows and shoulders.Mention this to your doctor again.I can't figure out why he hasn't thought of this. It's fairly easy to diagnose
