Only a kidney transplant can be successful. No herbal remedies or other cure can ever be beneficial, except maybe to take care of the accompanying kidney infections that such kidneys are excessively prone to.

However, not all polycystic kidneys require transplant. Some people live a normal life without realizing that they had this anatomic abnormality due to genetic predisposition. The best way to carry on with a normal life is to take regular courses of antibiotics, that too after urine culture and sensitivity test, on the advise of a doctor whenever there is a urinary tract or kidney infection. Not taking proper antibiotics will jeopardize the kidneys further still. Herbs can also damage the kidneys, so one has to be wary of trying them.

There might be herbal remedies around that are taken by people with PKD, which is fine as long as they don't have side effects. People with PKD tend to have high blood pressure and herbal remedies tend to elevate the blood pressure even more. Therefore caution should be exercised in these situations. Please tell your doctor if you intend to take OTC meds/remedies. the best thing is to actually bring the bottle to the office and have the doctor look at the ingredients.
I feel that there is more to medicine than what we know and practice in the Western World, but we can rely on evidence-based medicine, which incorporates years of experients and thousands of patients.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.

It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.

No but please do not make the condition worse by swollowing all those herbal or holistic medications, remember the minimum you must expect of a medication is that it does you no harm; qualified medics are obliged to take responsibilities for their treatment or they can be sued, non qualified people may have a good heart but it may not be good for your kidney.

I wouldn't play around with stuff concerning my kidneys, and certainly not any unknown toxins. Homeopathy can do wonders, but sometimes good 'ol western medicine is the way to go. If you are having questions about your urologist's treatment plan, maybe you should check out a few more doctors.

The thyroid is a butterfly-shaped gland that sits low on the front of the neck. Your thyroid lies below your Adam’s apple, along the front of the windpipe. The thyroid has two side lobes, connected by a bridge (isthmus) in the middle. When the thyroid is its normal size, you’re unlikely to be able to feel it.
All types of hyperthyroidism are due to overproduction of thyroid hormones, but the condition can develop in several ways.
Thyroid hormone production can be suppressed or halted completely in these ways: https://tr.im/qD8qW
