I like a mixture of Dale's and Italian Dressing with a few heaping spoonfuls of brown sugar. I mix the three in a glass so as to disolve the brown sugar well and then pour it over a couple of ribeyes and marinate them about a half hour before grilling. While cooking, i pour the remaining mixture on the steaks each time i turn them.

I like to cut 1 inch thick sirlon steak into big cubes, then marinate them with my homemade Korean BBQ sauce for 10 minutes, thread 2 or 3 cubes loosely on skewer, put them on the hot grill. The marinate time should not be too long and it keeps the natural flavour of good steak.

<<<<<<< Korean BBQ Sauce >>>>>>>

1000 cc Soy Sauce (Kikoman reduce salt)
80 g cane sugar (you can adjust the sweetness)
80 cc Japanese Sake
50 cc Mirin (Japanese cooking wine)
200 cc Red wine
60 cc Sesame Oil
20+ cloves of garlic
30 g whole black pepper (you may add more during the BBQ)

1) Heat the soy sauce in a pot over medium heat, bring to boil, then leave it to cool
2) Disolve sugar into the soy sauce when it's still a bit warm
3) Blend the soy sauce, Japanese sake, Japanese miring, garlic, black pepper into a blender, blend well then pour into a jar
4) Pour the red wine and sesame oil into the mixture and shake well before use.

This sauce can be store in refrigerator for about 3 weeks.

You can also use this sauce to stir fry beef / chicken slices with vegetables, yummy!

First of all if it is a good cut of meat and cooked properly than no steak should ever need seasoning or for that matter marinade. And you sure as hell better not be pulling out the A1 sauce after. In my house that is an insult to the grill-er. Buy the right cut, grill it the right way and it will be fantastic melt in your mouth steak.

I like a beer marinade on some beef like tri-tip and london broil. I get a quart of the cheapest beer and open it and let it flatten. 3 or 4 cloves of smashed garlic, a bay leaf, some adolfs meat tenderizer, pepper, and whatever else i feel like tossing in. Let is soak for 4 to 24 hours and toss on a hot grill. Baste with the marinade...don't drink it...its awful and leaves a bad aftertaste.

I love Dale's - it is an awesome marinade!!!!! I have to try your recipe next time we grill steaks!!!! Dales is my favorite marinade though!!!!

Have you ever eaten at Dales Steakhouse in Forence Alabama? It was one of the best steaks I have ever had!!!! It was years ago when I ate there with my husband - we went to Joe Wheeler State Park for a weekend getaway - and someone suggested the Steakhouse to us. We loved it!!

Marinate with dry rub Montreal Steak Seasoning, or mix with a little olive oil and brush on.
Daddy Hinkle makes a great one too.

Try garlic salt, onion salt, cayenne (if you like spice) a little salt and pepper, some italian and parsley. Then, about one or two shots of your fav liquor and about 1/2 of a can of coke or pepsi. Marinate for about 2 hours. It will melt in your mouth!
