The industries will pollute the most unpolluted places left on earth(except in the case of Indian villages).
Air Pollution:
The air will get filled with toxic gases, which will turn to acid rain and, in tun, pollute the ground.
Soil Pollution:
All the minerals will get depletd in the soil. This will effect the agricultural production, which is usually the most in the countryside.
Reduced Cropping:
As the food production depletes, we will get less and less amounts of food in the markets, leading to price rise and hoarding.
Effect on Economy:
The black marketing and hoarding leads to money concentration in few hands, and the government does not get the required amount of income from agriculture. Thus, the economic growth of the country takes a back seat.
Imports and Exports:
The victim country needs to import agricultural products from foreign countries. The foreign countries get a good foreign exchange, while the country importing, loses money.

This will effect the whole world.>

I didn't think of this topic from this point of view till I read your question

The effect will be same as mentioned above.
There will also be more vehicular pollution in the villages, as industries will need raw material to come in and finished goods to leave.
Life expectancy going up as mentioned by farmdaled maynot happen as the villagers will have heavy pollution to deal with not only while they are at home but also when they are working in the industries.
Industries require skilled labour. How many villagers would have the skill to work in industries. Those already working in industries in cities will get unemployed, so they'll probably leave cities and start working in the village based industries. Where will that leave the villagers - with no land, no means of income and POLLUTION.
