Not sure why some of you are coming up with the answer of 24. The question does NOT ask 'How many 1/2 pennies in a dozen pennies' but 'how many 1/2 pennies in a dozen'. As many of you have pointed out, 12 is a dozen, and they can be 12 of anything.

There are 24 half-pennies since you divide 12 by 1/2 which will turn into 12 * 2, equaling 24
