Well I find it kinda nice cause it takes me back down memory lane to remember some of these answers. In any case maybe some really don't have anyone at home to help them with their homework be it because their parents are working or maybe just can't answer their questions. It makes me feel good to know that I have helped someone who needed it (its their loss if they think they can cheat education by not doing it on their own if that's what they are doing).

It's not just you. I could understand it if kids were asking questions about more complex problems they can't understand on a conceptual level, but when it's questions like "How can I simplify the expression 5x = 15?" I want to scream!
I think it is unfortunate that some kids feel more comfortable tossing questions out onto the Internet than they do asking their older sibling or their parents.

Be a parent and take control of your household:
Tell your child, "NO!"
It's their responsibility to do their own work, not yours. In fact, what are they really learning when you do their homework for them? It sure as hell isn't anything academic: Instead, what they learn is that someone else will do for them what they should be doing for themselves.
By doing your child's homework, you are being a bad parent. Good for you to recognize it is a bad thing!
Just don't cave in and do it for them.
Remember, you are the parent and they are the child. Don't let them run things, otherwise, they will neither respect nor obey you.

the most you're suppose to do is help them get their homework done and not just that.. understand why it is they are getting the answers and determinations to these efforts.
no, if you do things for them they'll rot inside.. like you will watching them fail and not 'get it' as they get older.
no no no time to throw the book at them, open it up and go.. ok you need "help" that's what you'll get.. not "done" by another.
helping works.. if you can make them understand the things that they are lost upon... that not only will be rewarding for the both of you but it will help them develop mentally in this aspect.
and they'll feel great about it to.
something about accomplishment and 'understanding' things is such clearity in the fog of confusion and not knowing.
they got to understand you are their 'guide' not their slave.

It's not their fault for asking, it's people that answer them that makes them keep asking for someone to do their homework.
