It's just a question...a very weird question. I mean, I'm attracted to him, but at the same time I can't help but think how infuriating he can be at the same time. I can't decide whether I should try to ignore him or simply flirt with him. He is a nice guy - extremly nice, and considered very attractive in our school (I estimated 3/5 of the population like/adore/obsess over him) it's just...something ticks me off everytime I see and think about him. Ugh. It's all too confusing.

Been there, done that.
Most likely you hate him because other people like them. You like him, but your mind is telling you that you have to hate him, or else you'll just join the other 60% of the people at your school and he won't notice you.
Sometimes girls hate guys just to get their attention away from all the other fangirls.
And also, perfection can REALLY tick people off. It makes you feel uncomfortable, which can stir up hate.
My advice is just be yourself and go with the flow. Maybe the guy isn't all that anyway.

You can be attracted to a person physically, but feel uneasy about his character or hate the way he interacts with other people. Looks are not everything, and some good-looking guys think they have the world by the tail. Myself, I go for the ones who aren't movie-star handsome, but have sterling qualities. When you are my age, you'll understand what I mean. Looks can fade, but good character lasts forever.
