First of all you need to find out what is the reason you are feeling nervous :
1) could be a shock in your life
2) anxiety or depression
3) maybe you are missing vitamins b 12 that are the best for the nervous system
4|) milk it;s good calcium makes you relax and helps with the nervous system
5) maybe you are stress and maybe your body had never been depress in your life and you feel an awful feeling , you need to listen to music ...prayers are very calming, read, watch tv and more important than everything is do not focus on yourself ...focus on the rest ....play a game on computer specially those that makes you think and you will notice that while you are doing it mind it's busy and wil make it forget your nervous for a while.....remember that everything passes and we can not die out of nervous......they will always go up but after it reaches a very high level they will come down ...always have that in mind and be patience with yourself ...when I am nervous I fill my tube with warm water and apply different body washes with good scents and that makes me relax or cry etc.....or i massage my body ...I ask for hugs and kisses and sometimes i just cry and I get up and keep working ...do not worry nervousness will go away sometimes takes weeks months but if you do everything i said ...you will see that they will dissapear...i promise

Just know that you are not alone!!! There are so many people with the same problem..

Some solutions which can help you to c a l m down are different types of relaxation: including meditation, relaxing breathing techniques (for when you are the most tense!), and yoga (it really works)!

Another good thing to do is to get a little more exercise, preferably in nature!! Taking a half hour walk every day makes a huge difference.. breathing in nature's beauty (the trees, especially water - be it a lake or a stream - whatever you can find).. it really replenishes and balances out your energies, helping you to feel more calm, a little at a time..

All the best, wishing you much calm and relaxation to balance out the nervousness.. C a l m P e a c e C a l m . . . :)

The other people who posted have a good point. I have anxiety problems and there was a span of about a few months where I was so nervous ; I couldn't go out in public without totally freaking out. I felt like people were staring at me and they were coming after me . I figured out that I wasn't going crazy.
Before talking to a doctor concider a few things - Do you drink a lot of coffee and soda ? Do you eat a lot of sweets especailly chocolate ?
That was my problem , I was having too much sugar and with anxiety problems is a horrible mess. I was a nervous wreck.
So, talk to your doctor but also concider your caffine and sugar intake.
Good luck.

It sounds like you are a naturally hyper person. Maybe you don't get enough activity during the day to wear you out at night so you can sleep. Maybe you need a rigorous workout or a job that forces you to be on your feet moving all day long. It's not a bad thing - you just have more energy than most people so you are probably capable of taking on more tasks than most.

But no matter what, do check it with a counsellor or psychologist to be sure.

See your doctor about a visit to the neurologist. Could be something he can find that is causing it. A lot of times bad nerves can be caused by a number of things so get this seen to.
