Don't Christians believe that you have to be a follower of Jesus Christ? Is it not part of their beliefs to speak against non-christian religions?

DISCLAMIER: This answer a bit long and goes a little off topic.

Mark 16:15 -- He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation."

This is the command that Jesus gave to his disciples before he ascended into heaven. It has become the mission of the Christian belief.

I don't think we need to apoligize for preaching the gospel. That's our job! Should the horse apoligize for running or the eagle appoligize for hunting & fishing? Should the wind & rain apoligize for cooling and watering the earth?

I'm going to cover a couple things real quick because I know these will come up in the conversation...
-------------------------------
Concerning the crusades, none of us modern day Christians have had a hand in a war that happened between 1095 A.D. -1456 A. D. We live in the year 2006!

Regarding President Bush, the only person responsible for Bush's actions is Bush himself. What he has done is between him and God. We Christians aren't responsible what Ronin Bushi does. I could go on about him misusing executive power or loopholes in the laws or using fear tactics, but that is a whole other story.
----------------------------------

Notice all of the new Biblical revelations that are happening in the Christian world (such as the message of prosperity). Do you think Satan wants us free from poverty, lack, and suffering? Do you think that freak-of-nature wants us to have any of God's messages? It is a known fact that when a new Biblical revelation appears, that a world upheaval appears! Yesterday, it was the Nazis and Fascists. Today, it's extremist muslims who want to force us to worship their god or tax us for different belief (Read: discrimination-- that's something I've had more than enough of in my life), or even kill us.

I watched a Jesus movie tonight that covered more on the relationship between Jesus and the Pharisees. Seeing the Jewish leaders get angry at Jesus for healing on the Sabbath reminded me of my situation. I'm a manga-ka and a filmmaker. Moving pictures, animation, telling stories, and even exposing the nasty truth about people/situations is my life. Just in the same way that Jesus needed to heal the masses who came to him, even if it was a Sabbath day. It's my God given gift, my God given right, and my God given mission. I will not apoligize or feel bad for being what God wants me to be.

For those who feel I disrespect Jesus because I joke about Him, you need to know my God is big enough & strong enough to defend his own @$$. If He has a problem with my jokes, then He has to take that up with me personally (no prophets or preachers need apply) and that isn't anyone's business. The mark of a true God is found in Judges 6:31 in Joash's quote: ...If Baal really is a god, he can defend himself when someone breaks down his altar.

Matthew 7:1-2 --Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Sadly this is a commandment that many hyper aggresssive preachers have violated. It's just now coming back to bite everyone (even Christians who had no hand in the aggressive, Turn-To-Jesus-Or-Go-To-Hell message). To make matters worse, the hyper preachers don't get the message.

As Christians I feel it is important to rethink our preaching strategies. The aggressive campaigns of the past are out of date and turn more people away from Jesus and The Word. This subject should be the focus of the Christian church instead of the political stuff like anti-homosexual protests and anti-abortion campaigns. It is okay to be involved in campaigns you believe in, but remember "too much of a good thing can be bad".

There are many preaching styles. Each Christian needs to find the one that fits his/her best.

My personal preaching style is being the best example in my community. My actions make people question me about my beliefs.

You must be refering to the Pope when he spoke the truth about those Muslims. No he should not have to apologize because he knows he is right. Everybody will find out one day that Christianity is the only one and true religion. For those of you who are offened by my response: Just my opinion if you dont like it you will get over it.

No, Christians are followers of Jesus Christ and we should rebuke and correct heathens and scoffers when they bash our beliefs. I will continue to speak out against scumbags and numb skulls who condemn and mock.

When you get right down to it, all religions are that way. Why does this surprise you? At least Christians aren't still killing people over religious issues.

Christians have no specific beliefs, so they can do whatever they want.

But, when they begin to throw stones, they should be prepared for them to be flung back at them.

Christianity is one of the silliest religions on the planet and is based entirely on lies.
