It sounds as if you puppy has not had the rough and tumble play with other pups, he hasn't found out that biting hurts. It is normal for pups and dogs to bite, but it is the amount for force used that causes the problem. I have raised many dogs and learned how to stop biting behavior.

Treat him the same way his litter mates would. If he nips you, nip him back. He has to learn that biting hurts, when he does it, tell him NO, then just nip his ear hard enough to show him why. I have done this and 90% of the time they soon learn.

I know it sounds a little cruel, but that is how he would have learned if he had been raised with other pups.

Chances are, he's doing it in play and doesn't know that it hurts you. Every time he starts to bite you, just get up and walk away. Ignore him for a few minutes, then continue to play with him. If he bites you again, walk away again and ignore him for a bit. It shouldn't take too long before he realizes that when he bites, he loses his playmate. For my dogs, I also gently hold their snout closed, and I say "no" in a stern voice. This is similar to how the mother dog would correct her puppies, and the dog gets the message that he is being too rough. I wouldn't recommend this method unless you know your dog well.
Make sure he has lots of chew toys to play with, and don't play rough with him; it will give him the impression that it's OK to be rough with people. It would help to obedience train him, if you haven't already. Is he a dominant dog, or does he submit to you? If he is dominant, start making him perform a command every time you do something for him (walk him, feed him, give him treats, play with him, etc). This will get the idea in his head that he has to obey you to get the good things in life. This can be as simple as getting him to sit before you take him outside, feed him, or pet him.
Hope this helps! This is a completely fixable problem and it just means that the dog is a bit too rough in play, not that he's aggressive or anything like that.
Good luck...

Huskies are mouthy dogs, like labs. Let him chew toys up all day long, my Lab stopped mauling toys just over a year ago, and he's 4. To keep him from mouthing humans, when he does, potch him on the rear once or twice, every time. He will quickly learn that mouthing is for the toys, not for humans.

Flick his nose? Good lord..Might as well hit him flicking is just as violent.

Well you can blame yourself only for this.. at 6 months old you have let him get away with it for SOOO long your going to have a heck of a time getting him to stop.

I would start with obedience school for the 2 of you! You have let it go to far to try and correct it on your own now

This could be an early sign of aggression and should be stopped immediately. Many trainers now offer their techniques online. Here is the most popular with my customers.

He's probably still teething, losing those baby teeth and getting his adult teeth.

But I think you should consider training for him. They can be very loyal happy pets, but training is key. They can be stubborn about it, so a professional would really help.

Good luck

your dog is a pup and needs to bite to cut his teeth in , its normal ,if he isnt breaking skin and getting violent when hes biting its ok and you dont have a problem, and no he isnt done cutting his teeth, i have an 11 mnth old pup thats still cutting hers in.
