You must be a ceremonial magician. First of all drop the k from the word magic, it was put there in the late 80's by those that are airy and fairy and it demeans the English language. Second pick up a copy of the Golden Dawn by Israel Regardie, and Then go and find the collected works of Franz Bardon both authors will give you a better handle on your craft.
As for planting trees its a lot faster if you just buy saplings and plant them around your property. Don't get rid of your staff, you have obviously put a lot of energy into it. I suggest that you supplement your tools with a cane and a wand that way you will have the right tool for the right job.
Finlay a sword is not usually substituted for a wand or staff. Each tool has its own purpose. After all you wouldn't use a hammer to turn a screw would you?

First I'd like to point out that magic(k) can be practiced by anyone of any religion, unless their religion condemns it.
If your oak staff is difficult to use, bury it or make it into a wand. That question is really up to you.
Yes, a metal wand will work. A fork would work LOL. You don't even need an object to project your will. I prefer almond wood though.
I'm sure your local walmart has got trees and seeds.
Swords are usually associated with air and a wand with fire. Hope this answers your question!

If the staff is getting difficult to use I'd say switch to a lighter one. If you don't want to switch to a wand you don't have to, although wands are better for indoor workings and rituals. Staffs can be awkward when used indoors. Same with swords...they're great for outdoor rituals, but daggers are better for indoor ones. As for sword/dagger vs. wand/staff....it depends. Some prefer to use both, and some use the sword/dagger and wand/staff interchangably. It really depends on personal preference. Some people have a problem with the use of a dagger or a sword, and some don't. It's up to you.
I don't know where to find seeds of that nature. Have you checked your local plant nursery?

A carbon fiber staff with a leather strap 3/4 around it. Attach a diamond to the end, that is at least 2ct. 3 platnum bands on the other side with a titanium nub.

Find what works best for you, it seems that you are not so attached to it, maybe you should pass it on and find something that works better for you.
By the way if you want oak seeds talk a walk in the woods and pick up as many ACORNS as possible before all the squirrels eat them. there should be many of them this time of year.

All of the things you listed are merely tools to help the practitioner to direct their energy. If you are uncomfortable using the staff, pass it on, pack it away, or bury it giving it your thanks.
Yes, metal wands are fine, if that is what you are drawn to.

What do you think?
All a wand/staff is, is a symbol to show you are focusing your will. Everything is a symbol. So what do you think?
As for seeds, Home Depot?
