I was on a health binge once and ate a half a package of mini-carrots. I thought my skin turned a tiny tiny tiny tint of orange that evening, but that might have been me looking at all those carrots.
Anyway, I got sick from that and found out that you're not supposed to eat that many carrots b/c it's toxic. It has to do with potassium overload.

Yes your skin can turn orange from the beta carotene. There are 2 forms of Vitamin A. Some comes from fish oil which can be toxic in large amounts but the kind from carrots is not so much. I used to juice and drink large amounts of carrot juice...it's one of the best juices you can drink for your health...just don't over do it.

When I was in high-school, one of my friends went on a really weird diet. All she ate was...carrots. She didnt eat breakfast, but for lunch and dinner, carrots. And after about 2 weeks, she turned orange. Even the palms of her hands. Her parents got worried, and took her to the Dr. All he did was tell her to stop eating so many carrots. After about a month or so, she went back to her normal color.

There's this organic carrot juice that my family gets from costco. It's 100% carrot juice...not from concentrate. My dad drank a glass everyday, and in a couple of months his palms turned orange. But that's not a good thing. That means that you have too much, and nothing is good for you if you have too much of it.

it's from too much vitamin A the only vitamin you can OD on. and my doctor said you'd probably have to eat nothing but carrots for about a week. It's a type of forced jaundice and can cause your body harm so I wouldn't suggest it.

It does work! It depends on your skin, if you are fair you will see it more clearly. Carrot juice is your best bet, it is more concentrated.
