DO NOT BOIL A MEATBALL, Trust me and My married into Italian Family. Use some olive oil in a pan and fry the meatballs first. If you choose to put them in the sauce afterwards for 15 mins or so then go for it! But otherwise do not boil meat in water GROSS!

Well, guess I'm the only voice of dissent...I put thethawed/frozen meatballs in the boiling water with the pasta, then when the pasta's 'bout halfway I transfer with slotted spoon meatballs into the sauce. This accomplishes several things, pasta is well oiled and has a bit of its own seasoning, the meatballs are very moist and tender, and drum roll, please--"Ta-Da" Tho' everybody and their mama uses jar sauce, box pasta, and frozen meatballs...my children's friends and my children say my spaghetti and meatballs are the best eva! Makes me feel like an evil genius when I get a phone call from another mom wanting to know what I did that made my Ragu' or Prego sooo good(sneaky laugh)!? Always wanted to write a book, how to make cooking off the shelf, tastier, easier, and you're own. Well, now ya'll have one of my super secrets, go forth and prosper....Blessed be!

You dont boil meatballs, it will be nasty. You can bake them, just make sure you flip them occasionally so they dont burn. You can also cook them in a skillet with a little oil. You can Google meatball recipes if you're looking for any.

My God, noooooo!!!!!
Don't boil meatballs!!
Saute' them in olive oil (high heat) until the outside is seared (brown and tasty), then turn down the heat, cover them, and let them cook about 5-10 more minutes (depending on your stove) until they are cooked through.
BTW: If you add sauce right after they're seared, they'll pick up the flavor of the sauce.

meatballs should never be boiled..combine ground beef with bread crumbs, garlic, diced onions, pepper, salt and egg yolk.....its best if you mix two sorts of meat, like pork and beef....roll them into 1/2 inch balls with a little oil on the palms of your hands....pour oil into pan and when oil is hot place the meatballs into the pan,not to crowded, lower heat to low/medium and cook until meatballs are cooked trough and then roll them over to their other side using a spoon so not to ruin or bruise them and cook them trough out...do not stir meatballs at all

I don't boil them. I bake them in the oven and then use them in a sauce. Bake at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes. Or I fry them in a little olive oil for 15 minutes.
