Ok....
Soo....
I've been kinda constipated lately is my best guess..
I mean, when I have a bowel movement, it's just a little bit, and about every other day, or every other 2 or 3 days...It's weird..
I don't know what's going on..I've never been like this before..
And i'm taking fiber pills and vitamins every day, so I know i'm getting plenty of fiber...
What could be my problem??
This is slightly embarrasing..But I need some insight...
It's odd...Lol.
Anything else I could/should be doing?

Fiber absorbs water, helping to speed up the digestive system. Possibly adding more liquid to your diet and becoming more active would clear (pun intended) your problem...also try adding more fruits and veggies to your diet, that should get the ball rolling

Constipation has such an easy answer, but most people won't do it.......but here it is for you.
You need 3 things to have a healthy colon
1. Water intake
2. Fiber intake
3. Exercise
The colon needs fluid to help move the waste through the passages of your colon. It's ok to drink coffee and cola, but you do need to drink several glasses of plain water everyday. If you don't like water, put a slice or lemon or lime into it to help it. I happen to LOVE the taste of water, so it's not a problem for me
Next, you need fiber. I can't understand why anyone takes fiber supplements when making the right food choices will give it to you naturally. People don't realize how much their food intake affects they way their body acts AND looks. A person with a healthy bowel will have skin that is clearer and hair that is shinier, etc
Eat foods rich in fibers. Eat whole grains. When choosing bread, look at the label and you should see the word "whole". If you see the word "enriched", don't buy it.....it won't help your bowels. You need "whole" grains. You can find whole grain bread, bagels, crackers, and even whole grain pasta. I always use wheat pasta and it tastes the same to me.
Next, start your day with a high fiber cereal. I use Kellogg's "All Bran" and I slice bananas and strawberries an sprinkle some cinnamon on top. Tastes great with all the fixins......but all alone will taste like sticks.......but learn to dress it up. Your colon will thank you.
Most fruits and veggies are also high in fiber. Broccoli, Apples, beans, prunes..........most fruits and veggies contain some fiber....just some more than others.
Ok, so we've talked about the water and fiber your bowels need.....now, you also need some exercise. Sometimes just a short walk will help. You don't have to run a marathon or anything, but getting out everyday and walking for 15 or 20 minutes will help. You can even fit it into your day. Part at the space the farthest away when you buy groceries. Take the stairs instead of elevator. Anytime, you do a little extra exercise, it makes the colon have "peristaltic waves" which helps move the waste through your colon
Last, but not least, get your body into a rhythm. Most people I know ALWAYS have their bowel movements in the mornings or at night. For some reasons, your bowels seem to have a routine. Mine always seem to kick in right after breakfast. Anyway, it's good to know that because you never want to "ignore" that urge. People who ignore those bowel routine urges will soon find themselves constipated on a regular basis and never any routine urge. So, get your body into a bowel routine.
I know it is embarrassing to talk about, but you will feel better after you can go a week or more with regular bowel movements. Don't hold these toxins and and feel bloated. Get that waste out and you'll feel lighter on your feet and be much healthier.
One last thing. I think medications and pills are good for some people and have a place in this world.....but don't ever take a pill if you can possibly cure your problem naturally. There is no pill in this entire world that doesn't have side effects.......even an aspirin has side effects. If you depend on a pill to have a bowel movement, you get your bowels where they are dependent on it......and doesn't even sound like these pills are working.
Good Luck to you!

Yes. Sitting to much can cause this. Maybe you need to move around a bit more. You can take all the fiber you want but if your not active, it won't work. Some sit at the computer too long also. Take a break once in a while. Go for a short walk or do 5 or 10min. of excersise everyday. Also some vitamins have too much iron in it that will cause back up. And most don't know when taking fiber that you have to drink plenty of water with it.
Good luck to you and take care.

If you take fiber and do not follow up with at least 8 glasses of fluid a day you will get constipated from the fiber. Start eating natural fibers every day like plenty of fruit like apples, grapes, prunes & a lot of others.

Wow. That sounds uncomfortable.
I know that constipation can be caused by stress. Have you experienced any stress lately? If that's the answer, you can take care of the stress and the problem should take care of itself.
Another possible cause of bowel changes is a change in hormones. For example, many women have diarrhea near their periods. Perhaps your body is undergoing a hormonal change recently (period, new birth control, pregnancy...)
If you are uncomfortable, you can try giving yourself an enema. You can buy disposable enemas at the store.
And it probably wouldn't hurt to see a doctor about it.

It could possibly be that the lumbar nervous supply is depreciated therefore causing a lack of control to the bowels. Seek a chiropractor
It could also be in the vitamins. I mean, if your bowels are not working correctly, can they absorb, metabolism, or even utilize the ingredients of vitamins. You may want to consult with an herbalist.
good luck

Soo many great sandwiches that this question actual took my approximately 5 minutes back to a determination on...i could no longer come to a determination so I went with what i could make impressive now. So I went with 2 diverse ones. First: A Cuban kind sammich with roasted pork, ham, Swiss cheese, dill pickles, and candy mustard on a French baguette and press-grilled to gooey deliciousness...with the swiss oozing over the factors and grilled to a crisp. 2d: A candy n bitter pulled pork sammich smothered in candy KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce, candy creamy coleslaw on a delicate Kaiser roll or Onion roll.....with Lay's potato chips.

I would suggest you try drinking more water and just loading up on fresh fruits and veggies in addition to your fiber supplements. I'm no health expert but maybe you ate something that your body is having a hard time digesting, and it's blocking up the system?

Have you tried a fiber supplement like Milk of Magnesia? That worked for my mom. Try also drinking plenty of water and getting lots of movement, such as walking.
Eat oatmeal, crackers, green beans, any bean, and any really fiberous food really. I hope this helps. Goop luck.
