BASIC JELLO SHOT MAKING DIRECTION


Ingredients & Methods:

6 ounces of spirits

6 ounces water

3 ounces Jello (small box, any flavor)

3 ounce Dixie PAPER Cups


Pour the water and vodka into a saucepan and raise it to a boil.

Stir in the jello and make sure it totally dissolves.

Put the jello liquid into a pitcher for easier pouring.

You'll need to pour the jello into the small Dixie cups.

If you let the jello sit in the refrigerator in one big bowl then the vodka will separate and you'll have some crappy shooters. (Use the little cups!)
Let them chill in the refrigerator for about 5-6 hours
Use paper cups, you can tear them open to get the Jello
Watch the Jello liquid carefully, it boils over fast
Make sure you have lots of space in the refrigerator
Allow plenty of time, it takes awhile
Speed things up by doubling quantities: 12 oz vodka, 12 oz water, 2 small boxes of Jello (or 1 large box)
To give you an idea of quantities, this is how much we used:
20 small Jello boxes (3 ounces/each)
2 handles of vodka (half gallon/each)
400 Dixie Paper Cups (3 ounce size)


6 small Jello boxes (3 ounces/each)
1 liter of vodka
84 Dixie Paper Cups (3 ounce size)

Everyone has a different recipe for Jello Shots. So here's mine.
Use Sugar-Free Jello! (This is important). Choose your liquor. I like Spiced Rum and Cherry Jello. But you can use any thing. Rum, Vodka, Whiskey or Tequila. Jack Danial's works too. "Do not use flavored Snappes"! It is way to sweet. With 1 box of Jello, Boil 1 cup water. Add to Jello, and then add 1 cup of your chosen liquor. Stir. Pour into 2 oz. souffle cups. You can find them at any Restaurant Supply Store or Sam's. I usually use a beer flat (box) and place in that. Cover with Foil or Seran Wrap. Chill. When firm, they are ready. Dot with a dab of whip cream and Enjoy!
Tequila and Lime Jello, Whiskey and Cherry, Vodka and Orange are a few different varieties.
PS> One box Jello makes about 15 shots.

Apple Strawberry Jello

Ingredients:
75mil whisky
60ml apple juice
10ml sugar syrup
Two teaspoons apple-flavoured jelly
Two teaspoons strawberry-flavoured jelly
150ml hot water

Method:
Mix the whisky and sugar syrup together. Add 75ml of hot water, then stir and freeze in shot glasses for at least an hour. Mix the strawberry jelly with 75ml of hot water, place on top of original mixture taken out from the fridge and freeze for another hour.

Tip:
Garnish with slices of green apple and strawberry.


Suba's Cherry Vodka Jello

Ingredients:
170ml Stolichnaya Vodka
55g cherry jell-O
80ml ice
170 hot water

Method:
Add the cherry jell-O to the hot water, which should be at a boil. Stir vigorously until it dissolves. Add the ice to bring the temperature down and allow the jelly to set faster. Add the vodka and stir until well mixed. Pour into cups and refridgerate for about two hours for jell-O to set.

Tip:
For special occasion, wait for the concoction to turn a little firmer -- about 30 minutes after putting it in the refridgerator -- before putting a lychee in each cup for extra texture. Try this also with cut strawberries.


Orange Candy Jello Shot

Ingredients:
150ml Wyborowa Vodka
150ml De Kuyper Butterscotch Schnapps
3 packs or 270g orange-flavoured gelatin mixture
200ml fresh orange juice

Method:
Melt the gelatin crystals in a small amount of very hot water before adding cold orange juice. When the gelatin and and juice mixture is slightly cooled, add the vodka and schnapps. Stir and spoon into cups and leave in fridge for four hours.

Tip:
Too many jelly shots tend to be watery and sweet with no distinct flavour. Use real fruit juice instead of water in the mixture to give a stronger taste.

boil 3/4 cup water
stir in jello powder
mix booze (1 1/4 cup)

just as long as when you are done preparing, you have 2 cups liquid per one package jello. feel free to use less water and more booze.
i would use blue jello and uv blue
keep color of booze same as color of jello
some use vodka..gross, i like to enjoy my jello shots not force them down!!
keep color the same, you'll be happier with the outcome

Take your faorite flavors of Jello and prepare and before it cools add the liquor of your choice and pour into little dixie cups and refrigerate. When they have jelled you can have a Jello shot party.

Amaretto Sour Jello Shots

2 (3.00 ounces) boxes lime Jell-O gelatin
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup amaretto
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Make jello according to package directions. Let mixture cool some before adding the alcohol. Pour jello into 2 oz souffle cups, or shot glasses. Chill until firm. Then you down them like shots.

Lemon Drop Jello Shots

Mojito Jello Shots

Basic Mojito
6 sprigs fresh mint
4teaspoons sugar
6tablespoons lemon juice or lime juice, fresh
3ounces light rum
1cup water (Boiling)
2 packages lime Jell-O gelatin

Mixing instructions for Basic Mojito If not using store bought:. In a cocktail shaker, crush the mint to release the oil. Add the rum, sugar and lemon juice and shake thoroughly. Mix with the water, strain and mix in jello till well dissolved, pour in 2 oz shot glasses 3/4 the way up and refrigerate till set.

The best recipe that I have come up with is use jello box, no water, use your prefered alcohol, heat the alcohol, DON't boil, add the jello mix, pour into an ice tray, either put in the fridge or freezer, when completly jelled, eat your heart out!
