Help me please i need some advice? There's this girl that i have like that i asked to homecoming and she said yeah then after that she says no in a text message.
"No i'm sorry. chris, ur poem was sweet and so are u, but i don't think i'm the right girl for u. i'm so sorry but ur still a hottie." I don't want to lose this girl. she's liked me for a while and i've liked her but now it just messed up.
I wrote her a poem to ask her to homecoming. She's in my geometry class so after that i just slipped it into her backpack because it was open and told her it was. After that i walked away and she ran up to me the poem in her hand and said yeah. After that she texted me back saying her little poem. so i don't know what to do know.
Also she's heck of quiet during class so i don't know what she wants or anything. She was talking to me a lot yesterday and today she seems like she doesn't like me or something.
what should i do? should i just give up or what?

The football team is coming home
So I thought I'd take a chance
And sit down and write this poem
To ask you to the Homecoming Dance
Then it's up to you to decide
If I go to more than just the Game
So please accept this Rose
And my poetry does lack
But I do need to know one thing,
Will you go with me to homecoming?

she's kind of shy i think and very quiet during class. i just wish she would like me.

She made up her mind. Even if she's shy or undecided. She got your hopes up and said yes. Either find another date or don't go. When she sees that you didn't wait for her she'll learn a valuable lesson that will stay with her when she's older. That people won't wait for her forever. And if you settle for her changing her mind and then decided again to go with you then that's what you deserve. If she changed her mind and then finds out you have a different date then it's her own fault. And she's the stupid one. I think your poem was better than hers. If what she wrote was even a poem. She's right she's not good enough for you. She said yes then said no. She might even suffer from a low self esteem. Is that the kind of girl you want with you at homecoming and possibly a girlfriend? If she can't handle a guy asking her to a dance then she can't handle herself around guys. It's that simple. She needs to grow up. If I'm wrong and you feel otherwise, then just ask her why she turned you down because you are really confused.

girls usually really don't like poetry. Good poem, but I probably would've done the same thing in highschool. sweet, but try actually talking and asking face to face. be more personal and mature. she may still tell you no, but at least then you've shown her how manly you are. don't be shy, don't back down, and DON'T write notes. Those are very immature and are often a turn off in highschool!

Well i dont know what to tell u thats kind of complicating if she said yes and then no..The best thing i can say is ask another girl out and make her regret it...OR if u really like her that much, then try talking to her through "text" and ask her why? you never know, talking might change her mind all over again..good luck

Your poem was great Chris! Talk to her, maybe there is some underlying reason? Maybe she can't date yet or maybe she is nervous because she hasn't been on a date before and she is to embarrassed to tell you! Just keep talking to her until she fills comfortable and she'll open up! Hang in there and good luck!

Just go with your heart. I'm in the same rut and what I decided to do was just pray about it every chance I get. But don't give up on her because she's shy, trust me, she'll probably be more outgoing than you think.

i dont know if u should give up on her or not, but just follow your heart. also, its just a dance, nothing more nothing less. that poem was super cute and i wouldve said yeah if i were her. i guess the easiest thing to do would be to ask her what the heck she wants to do.

Your poems really cute!! I don't know why she whould say no after saying yes, but if you really like this girl, you should ask her why she said yes and then no. Girls also love chocolate and flowers. You should also flatter her and make her feel good about herself, girls love it when a guy makes them feel good. Well i hope everything goes well for you!

nice poem. don't waste your time on the girl, find another girl who doesn't play with your emotions. i mean, what kind of a girl would say yes then no..that's just too confusing. too much drama is never good. good luck.

If you really like her, don't give up after one little road block. Girls change their minds at the drop of a hat. Wait it out, she'll probably change her mind again. If not, don't waste your time.

Is she shy?
If so, then that's why... She might not be used to attention from guys or something, so she'd feel really strange.
If not, then I would wait it out. It could be a variety of things, really.
