Humanity can't establish this yet, at least not for a while. Yes, the world today is connected, but it doesn't mean that every country is willing to accept the universal understanding and teachings of humanity if there is one. And by universal understanding and teachings, i included religion, morals, culture, customs, etc. That's basically why there is war, discrimination, racism, etc. But i believe humanity will eventually become one entity in maybe a century or so.

Whose values? Yours? Mine? The pope? Karl Marx? When you remove God from the equation, the idea of values or morals is open for interpretation by anyone. The idea that as humans, without God, we could come up with a set of universal morals is ludicrous. We may believe that murder is wrong, so how do enforce that "morality" on thousands in Muslim countries who see killing the infidels as there duty? Good luck with that one.

first you have to define universal values. and then prove that your values are better than anyone elses in the world. and then you can think about teaching them to people. Socrates spent his whole life trying to figure out what it right and wrong and why... is the good good b/c the gods like it or do the gods like the good because its good???
