Let me ask you, do you give him your problems, then still fret and worry about them? Is there a trust problem? God works in His time and His ways, we may not understand or see what He is doing, but to have that rest, we have to trust that He will handle things. There is no guarantee that He will remove our problems, He never promised that, but He will give you the grace and stamina to endure them, and He will be there with us through them. The rest also comes when we look beyond our problems to the glory to come that is so far above anything we can imagine.
Another kind of rest God gives us is resting from our works in order to please Him or be accepted by Him. That was done on the cross. We no longer have to worry whether we are doing enough or doing the right things to be accepted by God, it has already been done. We rest from our works and accept His grace, forgiveness and salvation.

Christ said He would give you the desires of your heart. But most of the time what we think we want or need is not what we should have. God knows everything including what you need, although we might not understand the "why" until we travel further down the road. Christ never said "grab your swimsuit this is going to be fun." He said "Take up thy cross and follow me." The problems you have remain because you are to learn something from them. Once you have, then you probably will get different problems. BUT you will because a better person simply because you have learned compassion, and will love your neighbor etc. Take those problems and instead of saying, Take them Lord I don't want them. Say what was said to Paul. "My Grace is sufficient." And then the Peace will flow.

There is a good book called.. Do your Prayers Bounce off the ceiling?

I like to listen to good music all the time, if you sing to your self, you cannot think negative. Look for and see all the good around your that God has offered you.

Do charity work. Give your time and talents to others and your worries will seem so much lighter.

Because I have been given much I to must give.

Be still, listen the Spirit and the Power of the Holy Ghost will speak to you.

Stop trying so hard. Trust that whatever is happening right now is supposed to be happening because it will either teach you something or bring you closer to your true path in life. Pay attention to your feelings and do the things that make you feel good. Often, you're doing things because you think that's what someone else wants you to do. I'd highly recommend Wayne Dyer's "You'll See it When You Believe it," or Alan Cohen's "The Dragon Doesn't Live Here Anymore."

You're on the right track. Keep working.

At one very difficult moment in my life, when I believed I couldn't go on, I prayed to God for help. He didn't make everything completely blissful, but He did give me enough strength to go on.

Life isn't intended to be all roses all the time. That would make us complacent and we wouldn't feel the need to turn to God for His help. The opposition we push against helps us to become stronger.

Nevertheless, I can testify that, when we need it, we can get peace and rest from God. The times when I feel the most peace are when I'm reading scripture or engaged in serving others.

Don't give up.

In our time today, we expect things to happen immediately. We flip the light switch and expect that the light will come on. We open the refrigerator and expect that the food inside will be cold.

I can go on and on with examples like those, but I think you get the message. God does not work like that. He put you here in this Earth Age for one purpose. That purpose is to make a desision wether to accept His Saviour Jesus Christ or not. Its that simple. God did however take away from us all the memory of Him that we had in the First Earth Age.

I wonder, have you been true to yourself about your accepting of Jesus Christ as your Saviour? God knows our hearts. He is aware if we are just kinda accepting Jesus or not.

Only the Father is able to bring His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to us that we may make the choice. When this happens, and we repent of all our sins, being humble Jesus Forgives us.

You have got a few good things going on for you and they are. You had a water birth. You know that Jesus Christ is the Word of God. You know that Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God who came to take your place for the sins you have commited.

There is nothing standing in your way. When you pray, humble yourself before Him, God. Say something like this.

Heavenly Father, creator of all things, I love you. In the name of your beloved Son Jesus Christ I ask that you hear my prayer of praise and thanksgiving. I am so blessed in you allowing me to know you. Please forgive me my tresspasses and open my eyes that I may see the truth through your Word Jesus Christ. My I forever be in your Will and in your graces. Help me to help myself as I drink from the water of life that I inturn may help others.

God knows exacly what you need. Allow Him to bless you. Don't tell Him what you want. Let Him be
God to you.><>

First you have to belong to God, and the way you responded to Julia I would say you are far from a Christian.
Outside of Christ you cannot understand what this peace is, so if you want peace GET RIGHT WITH GOD!!!!

Don't focus on yourself, instead focus on God and His will and put serving others higher than yourself priority-wise, that should help.
