I have a vanilla and cream air freshener I just bought. It seems that ever since I plugged it in and have been smelling it, I just feel hungry all the time and wanting to snack on sweets all day. Is this just an odd coincidence, or could my air freshener be the culprit?

I could have just eaten a 7 course meal but when I smell garlic, I am hungry again. So much of our sense of taste is linked to smell that it makes sense that your sweet smelling air freshener could make you crave sweets. Some smells are just ingrained in out minds as being food related. Maybe you should switch to the pine tree scent.

The key is don't buy air fresheners that smell like food if you don't want to eat. I like the fall scents like pumpkin spice. Doesn't make me eat but smells delicious. To answer your question~ Yes It's probably the cause. Good Luck!

The air freshener could definitely be the culprit. I had a baked apple pie candle & it made me want apple pie everytime I burned it.

I never have that problem. I always buy air fresheners that smell like rain or flowers.

You know I guess it could as it is vanilla then it could as when your walking past a bakery and you smell bread cooking all of a sudden you feel hungry. I reckon the same thing

An air freshener once made me gain 10 pounds like that!!! I Guess Broccoli scented air freshers wouldn't be popular....Stick to floral scents!!! :)
