i would spend as much time with my friend as i could, providing my friend wanted me to spend time with them...it would have to be comfortable for my friend, not smothering her or making her feel i was around too much. we would talk about the good things in her life, and sad things if she wanted too ...she would make the rules and i would respect them...i also would be there anytime she wanted to talk, and help her anyway i could, feed her or give her personal care as needed.....

I would let her know how very important she has been in my life and that not a day will go by that I will not think about her. I would also tell her that my life had been richly blessed because she was part of it. I have had alot of time to think about this question. Sixteen years ago my best friend was hit by a car and died instantly so I never got a chance to tell her goodbye.

I think the most important thing is to be there for your friend, and not to be afraid of hurting her feelings - it is more common that people who are dying have noone to talk to because everyone is afraid to talk to them, or listen to them about that. Follow his/her cue, if want to talk then listen, if not just be your usual friendly and most of all supportive self.
And is there anything you can do to make a little moment of happiness? A favourite treat? A song that's hard to find? A job that she/he really needs done so they don't have to worry about it? Those tiny things can make a big difference! Good Luck!

I have lost many friends and I miss them all to this day. Most of which were sudden and unexpected. If I had the opportunity to say anything before they died, I would have told them how important they were in my life.

If it were me, I would let my friend know that I was there. I would try to give all the support I could. I make sure that my friend knew that I loved them..and was grateful for their friendship.

If they feel like talking, let them and you just listen with not just your ears, but your heart. Just that simple little act will let them know how much you care for them.

spend all the time you can with them. Let them know how much they mean to you, how much you love them, etc. Let them know how special they are to you. Also, be there to let them talk about whatever they want to talk about, their fears, etc. Sorry for your friend. good luck, take care
