The best is the chicken flavor. Cook noodles, drain, add half the seasoning packet. Stir. Put half the noodles in a bowl, add a slice of american cheese, put the rest of the noodles on top so the cheese melts. Add a dollop of sour cream and chop up with a fork and knife. Add a little of the hot water if its not creamy enough. Is also good with fresh chives and lots of black pepper.

I cook ramen many different ways but another good way is get a nonstick pan put 1/2 cup water and 1 tbsp of butter or margarine and get it to boil.Add noodles and seaoning packet and stir with a spatula until all the water is aborbed by the noodles.

If you want to add an egg to your ramen the trick is to heat your water on med heat and add the egg before the water boils or the egg will stick to the pan.Cook the egg on med heat for about 2 minutes and then turn your heat on high and then add your seasoning packet and the noodles and cook 3 minutes.

You can add any left over meat or vegetables to your ramen to add variety.

I like to add American cheese slices to make it cheesy and sometimes salsa.

I boil the water and noodles, drain off some of the water, pour it into a bowl, add 1/2 the powder and stir.

You can also add chopped egg, sliced hot dogs, chopped onion, cooked hamburger meat, tofu, lots of stuff to it.

Put vegetables like peas in the soup. Some friends and I had study groups in college where we boilled one big pot of water and we all put our noodle packets in the pot and when the noodles were done we took some out for each of us and added our own flavor packets in our own separate bowls. Some people added more water to their bowl-however they liked it. I like to add the flavor packet to a mixture of vinegar and oil and crunch up the uncooked noodles and put them in a salad with the flavored vinegar/oil mixture as a salad dressing.

I don't know if this tastes good but my roommate always cooked the noodles in boiling water, drained, (she didn't use the seasoning packet) then she would put spinach (I wouldn't recommend using spinach right now becase of the E. Coli situation) and sriracha hot sauce in it.

Some people break up the uncooked noodles and eat the pieces as a crunchy snack.

I drop in an egg into the broth and tear up some pieces of lettuce into it while it's cooking - quite yummy.

I like my ramen being ramen, not fried or baked or with butter & cheese, it should taste Asian! We have "Nissin" Demae Ramen - original favour stored at home all year round, here is my favorite way of cooking instant ramen. <<<<< Kimichee Ramen >>>>>>> serves 1 1 Nissin Demae Ramen original flavour (red package) 50g kimichee (cabbage kimichee or raddish kimichee) 1 stalk of green onion, finely chopped 1 fried egg 1) heat a pot of water (at least 3 cups), put ramen into hot boiling water, separate noodle with chopsticks, boil for 2 minutes, the noodle is 60% softed, drain and cool it under running tap water, to wash away oil and starch. Drain well and set aside. 2) When boiling the ramen, you can heat a frying pan to fry the egg, set aside. 3) Heat 1.2 bowl (your ramen bowl) of water in your pot, put soup base mixture and a few drops of sesame oil in the bowl, put ramen back to the pot once the water is boiled, bring to boil again, put ramen in the bowl, pour hot water over it, stir to combine. (You can smell the fragrance of sesame oil.) 4) Put kimche and egg on ramen, garnish with green onion. Serve immediately. By the way, I hope you like kimchee!

Altough I like it once in a while be cautious it contains lots of trans fats and sodium...But I like them with brocoly and tofu!
Did you ever try rice noodles. A big bag is sold for like 2.50$ and makes like 10 servings.
Try rice noodles with brocoly and tofu dress it up with chopped shallots, soy sauce and a sprinkle of ginger.

chop up some ham, put in a couple of mushrooms, and then sprinkle some cheese and onions on top. Makes a great inexpensive filling meal.

Sometimes I also crack an egg in egg.
