You have some choices. You can make braids, experimenting with the number that gives the best effects. Or you could use bobby pins and twirl locks of hair around your finger near the base of your head, pinning them into place with the bobby pins. Or you could break down and use curlers, they make soft ones now easier to sleep with. Make sure to buy 'wash and curl' shampoo, available almost everywhere.

Use a diffuser when you dry it and a volumizing mousse. There are also curling balms you can use but I dont recommend them if your hair is fine at all. If you want it to be curly when you wake up from it being wet and in more control then use a satin sleep cap when you sleep and apply some mousse while it was wet.

My daughter is like you and has the same hair. It got even wavier as she got into her teens. First get a layered hair cut to lighten up the hair
so the curls don't stretch out. towel dry , never blow it. she uses a gel in her hair, and I mean allot of it. and scrunches it all up with her hands and lets it dry. sometimes she even hair sprays it. a good hair dresser can help you .

try this: when your hair is wet, braid it (but not too tightly, or it will break) and when you sleep, wrap it in a silk scarf. after taking the scarf off in the morning, you should have gorgeous silky waves
OR
scrunch your hair. by this, i mean that you should, when your hair is wet take some gel in your hands and tousle your hair so it gets wavier
good luck!

my hair is naturally straight ..when it rains it turns curly and I just spray it with a water bottle and add some gel and volume mouse to it and scrunch it with my hands and blow dryer and add hair spray as i dry it and scrunch it together and that should work...

i think u may want to stop sleeping with your hair wet. It is not good your your head in the long run. The water will seep into your scalp and into your brain. In future, your brain will be bloated and you will develop headaches.
