You art totally WRONG!!! I'm a 4'11 woman and I went through one of the toughest police academies in my state. And, I've been one for 10 years now. Let me address your ignorance point by point. How does a woman wearing body armor make her a cross dresser? They make the vests so breasts can fit in. Does wearing a kilt or makeup make a man a cross dresser? As for the physical strength, if I get into an altercation where I have to fight I use mace, my baton, or a my gun. I haven't been put in the hospital yet. As for emotional strength, I've met a lot of emotionally weak men. I can hold my own any day. Emotional and physical strength is a matter of opinion. If a woman gets pregnant that could put her off of the street for a while, but so could a man if he has been physically hurt or has some type of problem that requires medication. As for making women "butch", women choose to look as they want to, just as some men choose to look more feminine. Although some can't help their looks in either sex. I bet if you saw some of the women who were very feminine and physically attractive, you wouldn't be able to tell if they were police or not without the uniform. You must feel intimidated when a woman can hold the same job as a man. These days, we need to work at any job we can, b/c more and more of us have to depend on ourselves since some men shun responsibility.

First, it's only your personal preference what you regard as cross-dresser or butch. I've seen policewomen in feminine uniforms, e.g. skirts (though it must be annoying to have to wear those... don't look as practical as trousers.) Second, if she has a weapon in her hand, it really doesn't count who is physically stronger, and it has been proven that emotionally women are stronger than men. Three, most women have 2-3 children, that means 18-27 months out of their entire lifetime, and leaves whole decades when they can pursue a career as a policewoman, also, pregnancy is not an illness, and in the first few months women can do basically everything they usually do.
BTW most police officer's life isn't what you see on TV, the majority of them doesn't spend their lives chasing mass murderers. The majority of them spends their lives handing out speeding tickets. Why could a woman not do that?

Huh Probably drop you to if you run up. Please women got way more game than men and can do anything a man can do except make a baby. Some of these women police been in it a while, so it must not be too complicated. Be for real though. Do survival in the hood with three chicks from the hood growing up with brothers. Youll be handcuffed before you know it. So don't speak on what you don't know.

I may not support the women being police officers, but if that is what they want to do, then let them do it. It is just like the military, these days some women can handle the weapon as well or not better than some men. I have seen some female officers that can handle their own which is good for them and their family.
I think females in the military and law enforcement are harassed more than men, and you know which way as well as I do.

All 50 states, to this point as i understand. I n California there are distinctive women working as law enforcement officials, and the Sheriff branch. the comparable is actual in Colorado, Ohio and Nevada. situations have replaced from the 70s, women makeup the numerous ultimate law enforcement officials accessible. If a female can die in wrestle operations in Iraq, then easily they are able to accomplish duties as a regulation Enforcement Officer. i might propose which you get a minimum of a 2 365 days degree in criminal Justice beforehand of adjusting right into a member of. because will make it much less complicated so you might get promoted. as with every profession, the human beings with the main education gets promoted interior the path of the ranks to the main senior positions.

Oh HORSE-HOCKEY! What a Silly Stupid Little Twit you are! Women lack physical and emotional STRENGTH you say? HA! You couldn't last 10 minutes as a female! LOL! You have NO conception of the physical and emotional strength it takes to do the things we do. Women can do absolutely ANYTHING men can do, do it better and with more efficiency, and ALL while doing it backwards and in high-heels!

There is a female police officer that uses Yahoo Answers and from her pic i recon she could take on Mike Tyson.
Seriously i know several female police officers that are very feminine and they can do the job far better than their male collegues and i would not mind being cuffed by them anyday.

Yes. There are many suitable jobs that women can do very well, and sometimes better than men. One example, in case of body search of a female suspect, women officer will be more appropriate.

Yes, if you get involved in a argument in a bar and a big male bouncer comes over to kick you out, you will likely try to fight him. But if the nice waitress comes over to break things up, you will probably leave peacefully.
Don't take my word for it, go out and ask some bouncers & waitresses.
So perhaps women are in fact better at keeping the peace.
