I've found two so far, and returned them both. One was was easy because I saw the guy drop it and managed to chase him down. The other was a bit more difficult, but I managed to determine who it belonged to, mainly because I knew the group of people who were at the place I found it. If I found one I would definitely try to find out who owned it, either by the 'ICE' entry's, or by turning it in to the service provider. But maybe that is just me, holding a lone candle of hope in the face of a dark world.
ICE is an acronym for In Case Of Emergency. If you are found unconscious and you have a cell phone, emergency personnel are trained to look for ways of contacting members of your family. One thing they look for is the ICE prefacing entry's in your cell's phone book. This came from the bombings in London a few years back. What you do is you prefix a few of your entry's like 'ICE Mom 555-0807' and 'ICE Bill 555-8845'. The police or paramedics would then know that these are the numbers you wanted called if there is a problem.

well lets see, you if dont report it lost straight away they could use your phone to make calls and run up a huge bill, they can sell the phone for some quick cash or they may just put their own sim card in it and use if for personal use........
i would die if i lost my phone as i have birthdays and numbers stored in it and would be lost without those details.....
all in all you hope that someone nice finds the phone and hands it in.......there are alot of decent people around

People can sell used cell phones for money.
Hopefully they turned it in and are trying to find you right now.
I'm sorry you lost your picture. In the future you can probably e-mail the picture from your phone to your e-mail account so you'll still have the picture on your e-mail.

Oh my gosh! Peeps these dayz are just MEAN!!! Sadly, peeps will run your bill up or just sell it! I hope you find it. The best advice I can give you is call into the ur cell person (ex. T-Mobile, Nextel, ect.) and tell them the situation. Good luck sweetie and May God Be With You!

call verizon, have it close off as temp lost / stolen so if somebody has it they do no longer ring up your invoice. I paintings for sprint and function seen peoples telephone get stolen and their invoice went up $a million,000 they had to pay because of the fact they did no longer checklist the telephone as stolen. After that confer with verizon and spot in case you have any coverage on the telephone, and pray which you do, or you may desire to in trouble-free terms purchase a clean telephone.

Aww, I'm sorry. If I'd found it I would have called one of the numbers in your phonebook and been like, "Hey, who's phone is this? They lost it. I have it here [wherever I am]."
