I saw this painting in an art museum about 20 years ago. I can't remember what the foreground looks like, but the knight appears to be laying down from the top of the painting to the bottom. It's like one of those pictures in the paper where you have to find the hidden objects that appear to be a part of the whole picture.

The only thing I've seen with a knight in it is an engraving by Albrecht Durer called, "THE KNIGHT, DEATH AND THE DEVIL" . 1513. It's full of Christian iconography. It is in the Brooklyn Museum of Art . The knight is on a horse. 911/16" by 79/16 "
