Convince yourself that it will be fine. How many flights to the UK have come down in the past 10 years? None (I don't think) There is a first time for everything but take some comfort in the statistics. Take some sleeping pills for the flight and sleep through it. I'm sure you'll be fine.

I can understand why you would be worried BUT after spending two years flying back and forth from the USA to the UK not long after 9/11 I sort of worried but more of what would happen to my kids if some thing happened to me................

Best advice I could give you is just relax as much as you can and stick your head in a book........I used to get one JUST for the trip that I had been wanting to read for the longest and use that to keep my mind on that other than anything else.

Good luck and enjoy your stay in England

If you're scared about flying, remember this: you're far more likely to die in a car accident than in a plane crash. Planes are actually one of the safest modes of transportation. It's just that in the rare event where one crashes, it's a big deal. Imagine if the news reported every car accident like they do with planes.

The best way to overcome your fear is to face it and do it! it's like riding a giant roller coaster.
once you do it, you want to do it again. I say
get on the plane and have a great time!

oh yes, you can sleep on the plane, they never miss a station.
pick a big plane, the bigger the better (size)

remember, if something wrong happened, you are not alone, and crash landing on the water is saver than on the land, and please trust the pilot, they always mention their name, so you can mention on your pray
