I was a raise Christian, so 20 years. I was married to an *** hole who beat me for 6 of them and I went to several pastors asking for help they referred me to the bible which said forgiveness before divorce. And then if I did divorce I had to stay single for the rest of my life. Divorce is apparently hell worthy. Tell my kids that because even they can see that I am better off without their father or the church. Living your life by the 10 commandments is one thing, following the entire bible is quite another. Good luck and pray because sometimes becoming another sheep in a flock is just another way to end up sheered or butchered. God will look out for you and listen to you even if you aren't a christian.

I am 19 and i am blessed to say that i was raised up in the church, so i don't have the "i used to a drug attic and Jesus set me free testimony" (just an example) but trust me, that does not bother me at all, God bless ya.

I was a Christian from an early age until I was about 20. I've been atheist for longer than that.

Aww I am SO happy for you! I love to see God at work in someones life :) I was kind of born into it...but I've had to come into my own if you know what I mean, which I'm still in the process of. Not just doing it because of mom, but learning for myself and seeing God on my own.

i had catholocism forced on me as a child, grew up, went to college and discovered better bookstores. consequentially, I haven't been a christian since 1976. It feels good to be out of the dark ages....
