My Boss of three years is moving up to the North Suburbs of Chicago, and has taken another job. I was just going to give her a greeting card as a going away gift, but thought that since she has been so good to me, a small gift may be appropriate. Can anyone suggest something small and inexpensive to give to her? Thank You!

A gift card either for something practical (gas) or something she might like--Barnes and Noble, favorite clothing store, etc.

When my husband left for a new job he was given 10 years worth of bosses day cards from an employee in a really nice box. He was told that this way he could not forget what a great boss and mentor he was.
Each card is signed and sealed in an envelope with the year which it is to be opened printed on it.
We thought it was a pretty Kool gift.

Give her a nice, small picture frame for her new office. I find the most unique, inexpensive frams at Ross and TJ Maxx.

I would go to Personalcreations.com they have a bunch of gifts that can be purchased for all types of occasions. I have gone to this site before and gotten nice things off of it.

Gift vouchers are the best as your boss can decide what to get. Alternatively, why not buy her a dinner as a way of thanking her

Wine is a common gift. Assuming, of course, you know that she doesn't have religious or moral oppositions to alcohol.

Gift certificate is good but.... I like giving inspirational posters..whether its desk top or wall. Something that represents him/her moving or changing as it refers to life.

What about a piece of tasteful desk art or wall art....maybe a decorative piece for her desk...maybe some book ends...or maybe a nice paper weight.....
i think that it is a good idea...

A keychain with something on it she likes. It is something that everyone can use and something that will cause her to remember you every time she sees it.

go to ross and by her matching glasses and a scarf...........or matching scarf and purse........something like that i think u get the point.
beleive me it's cheap just be patient and look for the right thing
