the dea usually works with the locals where the bust is going to take place. when monies are seized and case is settled, it gets divided up, some going to the local departments that were involved, some is used by the dea to cover costs of operations, some is used to help the families of the fallen officers and agents who die in the line of duty. and unfortunately, like all government entities with large sums of money, some of it just disappears without a trace.

Into the DEA's budget, and the agents get a percentage as a reward.

Sales of seized materials will go to the local state or city government.

It is supposed to go to the U.S. Treasury, perhaps even in a DEA account to have more funds in their budget. However, I bet some of it goes into the person 's pocket, who seized it.

part of it goes to the police department who helped them out and the rest goes into a fund to stop drugs from entering the united states

I am sure the official answer is it is all account for, and put back into the system to stop more drugs, however one would be a moron to think $60K a year agents putting their lives on the line don't have a dirty agent or two
