I had a horrible experience with a car dealership in NJ. I signed a contract a week and a half ago for a lease. They never gave me a copy. They tell me to come in to pick up the vehicle when I get thier they tell my that I have paperwork to sign, it was a new contract where they changed my payment and changed it to a balloon finance. I told them that this is not what I agreed to and that I will not sign this new contract. They told me that I am the one losing because they don't need my business because they are a multimillion dollar dearlership and that my security deposit is nonrefundable. Is this true in New Jersey, are security deposits nonrefundable.

Security deposits are always refundable. That is why they are called deposits. Tell them you will take them to court. If they don't give it back, spend the $40 to sue them in small claims court. When you win, you will get your money back plus your costs.
