It takes men a long time to learn how to have a relationship. Until they mature, all they are is sex-driven as this keeps our species populated. They have the extraordinary task of having to reconcile their sex drive with social dictates. Monogamy is against their nature, so the learning process takes a long time. Some of them never figure it out.

You should have asked, "Why do certain men....?" Don't lump me in the catagory of the Neanderthal type that only react to their primal instincts. I on the other hand, am capable of a long loving relationship with a woman with making love(not sex) being an extension of that love affair.

its just the desire,it is alright to date a gal without sex. no all dates have to go with sex.we men do respect gals.dun let a rotten apple in the basket of apple spoil the whole basket of apple,

Not all guys look for sex. I recommend staying away from the ones that do. Their reasons mostly have to do with traumatic childhood expeirences with their mothers.
There are plenty of good guys out there. Good luck.
