My boyfriend of four years and I recently broke up. He was my only boyfriend so far, and I'm 24--so that's kind of strange, I know, but I have a hard time meeting intelligent, sane (or jeez, I'd even take mildly schizophrenic) men who are interested in me. I have a hard time figuring out why--I think I'm fairly attractive, and I'm only a little weird.;) All my friends are off getting married and having babies, so man, I've got a lot of catching up to do. I really don't want to end up as some crazy old cat lady and I hate, hate, HATE this lonely feeling--I mean, I have wonderful friends, but it's still not quite the same, you know? Is there really someone out there for everyone who wants a partner? How do I meet someone intelligent and nice, without resorting to clubbing him over the head and dragging him back to my cave?

Man--- I hear ya!

Seems so hard to meet a significant other-without resorting to the cave man clubbing method! If you ever get the 'special detector' working for you--send me the female version!

Seriously-I think it is cool that your mature enough not to be bed hopping around and staying in one relationship for the long haul!
It seems to me the harder I look for love the more elusive it becomes. When i was your age-I gave up dating entirely for 6 months and thought I'd be single forever--THEN WHAM! -met the then Mrs. and had 10 wonderful years with her!

Keep trying and best wishes!

Well as women we are born with a bad men detector but our hearts send it signals that mess up the frequence and then we make mistakes. Yes someday you will find someone. Rushing cause your friends are does not make them right. My guess is they will be divorced before you too. I got married the first time when i was 30 and i was divorced 5 years later. I got married the second time when i was 40. Not happy again. Stay single cause i can bet you that your freinds will be saying i should have stayed single.

Well Casey , you might start by looking in places that tend to attract the kind of guys you like. If you like guys that like art ,go to an art museum. If you like guys like cowboys check out riding stables. If you like athletic guys check out heath clubs tennis clubs. If you want a guy that likes to hang out at bars , check out bars.I dont recomend that guy. If you find them in a bar usally thats where they will end up and at some point it wont be with you. Then a few beers and they all look good. Anyway finding a great spouse is a treasure hunt. Good luck and good hunting....

Yes there is someone for everyone even if it seems to take forever to find one. Try checking out the chat rooms or going someplace you wouldnt go when you were in a relationship. Don't try catching up to your friends because you see they are married with children. Wait until you are ready for it. Just continue to be yourself.

That's not really a bad idea "clubbing them over the head". LOL
Give it time, your still young - you'll find someone. Don't worry that all your friends are getting married...... they may end up being jealous of you! You have a great sense of humor, you'll find someone - I'm sure!! Take care!

Wish I could help you out here, but Im kinda in the same boat....Seems women out here aint all that great either.
But I suppose if you just continue your days without thinking about the need for someone, I think you can go on in life....

Wish ya luck,

Let him find you. Men love the thrill of the chase. Be yourself and continue with what you do normally. You would be suprised the people you meet in your sphere of influence.
