The key to glossy and shiny hair, I am not so sure if that is what you are inquiring about, is to look for a shampoo that fits your hair type. If you have "" hair, look for "" shampoo. Another tip is to cut back on shampooing to 3-4 times a week, and only apply shampoo to roots and wherever you tend to accumulate shine-dulling grease. If you have coarse or thick hair, look for richer conditioners and shampoos, and maybe even a weekly hair treatment pack. Hair treatment packs are basically super-concentrated conditioner applied to dry hair. Dry conditioning is also something you can do, since moisture is more readily absorbed by dry hair since it isn't saturated with water. John Frieda frizz ease is also a serum that you can apply to hair for shiny follicles, avoid applying too much since it can be GREASY!

You ask a hair stylist if she would consider doing your hair "at home" or "out of the salon" for a discounted rate. Most will, and do to make money on the side. You will pay much much less, and if you want that salon look, you have to have a professional do it. Relaxers will eat your hair up, strip the natural oils that you NEED to have healthy hair, and only last as long as a permament hair color, about 6 weeks, and you will have to end up getting your roots done again, or you end up with straight on the bottom, wavy on the top, NOT a good look, lol. Plus time after time that you use the straightener process, your ends end up getting stripped, and will turn out like cotten. As for "scrunching"...if your tired of wavy hair, why straighten it, and wave it all over again ? Think about that. Another alternative is a curling iron like device that straightens your hair with steam. Look online for QVC, or HSN to order. Look in the Beauty section. You WILL find them there.

They use silicone glossers on hair. You only need to use a small amount . Rub a few drops in your palms and then rub downwards on top of the hair. You can also try using L'Oreal Vive shampoo and conditioners as they make the hair very silky and shiny. When you blow dry, only blow straight down. Don't blow upwards or wave it. Finish the blowdry on a cool setting to lock in a nice smooth look.

Have a professional stylist slave over your hair for hours on end. That's about the only way. Sorry.
