Plus I kinda think they're giving me the runs, but I don't know how to tell her I'd like more variety in our meals. She doesn't eat them every night so why should I have to.

LMAO, you guys rule. Yes, this is a joke, you may sleep in peace. I totally love the answer from the chick who doesn't seem to know about the E Coli herself and is all counselling me about my "relationship"

Thanks

This might sound crazy, but maybe you could actually try *talking* to her. Tell her you think she makes a great spinach salad, but you think the two of you need some variety. Suggest a meal you would prefer, and offer to help cook it. She may be doing this for several reasons: maybe she wants to lose weight, maybe she thinks you should lose weight, or maybe she just can't think of anything else to make. People get into a rut. So if you offer to help, especially if you offer a healthy meal, she would probably accept that.

But all of this requires actually talking to her. You could, as people have suggested, mention the current spinach problem as well as your own digestive problem. But ask her why she keeps making this, that way you can find out how to help.

hopefully you are joking due the serious results this week in the news about the e coli and all the stores in my area have pulled all the bagged spinach off the shelves due to the e coli that is killing people right now and making other people so sick. YOU HAVE HEARD ABOUT THE SPINACH AND E COLI THING GOING ON RIGHT NOW, RIGHT? if not, read a paper, watch the news and listen up buddy. your wife is trying to hurt you! instead of running your bowels off in your bathroom, you should run your butt out of your house and get away from that spinach.

I don't know if you are aware that there is an current e.coli outbreak throughout the United States associated with fresh spinach. E-coli is associated with bloody diarrhea and eventual kidney failure. Stop eating it- consult an MD and notify your wife. If she insists on making you eat 'fresh spinach" get out of the relationship because she is trying "to kill you".

(is this a serious question?)

Maybe you should remind her that there has been a recall on all spinach products because people have died and gotten sick from e coli bacteria found in spinach. It's been all over the news for the past few days.

If it has only been for the last week she is very well informed. Watch the news man, and find another wife....... If you're still alive by the time you get this message of course.
Best of luck but most important get a good health insurance plan.

The recent e.coli scare in the spinach supply is your way out. Use the runs as further reason to be concerned.

Haven't you heard the news??? People are getting sick from eatting fresh spinach, most of it is contaminated with E.Coli, one person has already died, several more sick.
Tell her no more, til this problem goes away, you can't even buy spinach in any grocery store by me.

well.........you need to tell her that you're getting tried of the spinach salad.

sometimes for women it's easy to repeat a dish over and over cause it's quick and easy to prepare or she may think you need it in your diet.....either way if you don't mention it to her she might thing you like it. just be creative about how you tell her. but I honestly don't think if you told her it's giving you the runs would offen her.
